Wicked Wednesday #138 Fairy Wonderland

This challenge has the word 'Fairy' so how can  resist?!?  I have already made some backgrounds using a stencil but I was only 'practising' at the time ....
With Wicked Wednesday ATCs Challenge in mind I sat looking at the ATCs and thinking .... nothing.
With the ATCs in front of me I sat looking around at my containers of embellishments ....
I spotted some net, and some punched flowers which I had heat embossed.....
So here is my ATC ...

I wrapped the stencilled ATC in net, using Washi tape to secure it to the back.  I added some of the embossed flowers in the corners and, using a cottonbud rolled over a gold inkpad, stamped the centres.
I cut a strip of the leftover netting and tied it into a bow, trimming the tails short.  A dry embossed word cut into a tag shape was attached with a glue dot, and the bow, to the top left hand corner of the ATC.
This fairy is making some magic in her mysterious world - who can tell where the magic will land? ......

UK ATC May Swap

I decided to use some of the ATC material from the Kits that I bought some time ago.
I took three white cards, three sheets of patterned paper and three frames.  I placed the frames over the papers until I had them the way I liked best.

I cut the photo from another paper and placed it under the frame.  I drew a curly pattern around the frame with a yellow pencil and added the appropriate sentiment.

I had some difficulty choosing which display of flowers to use from this paper but... once found ....
I left the frame plain and added a sentiment.

This paper was so pretty and I managed to find a matching frame but ... it still needed a focal point.
I could not find an appropriate sentiment for this card so sorted through my stash and found this beautiful bow, pale pink ribbon with a pearl circle.  Perfect!

I received these gorgeous cards as my swap:-

Black canvas with white stamping - eff e c tive!

Decoupaged lady.

Heavily paste embossed background.
Thank you Claire.

UK ATC May Theme - Sea

I am using some of the pages from my French dictionary on these cards, choosing pages that have a nautical image.  I made three of them along the same lines.

I swiped a dark blue stamp over the background, and then added some sentiments which I found on the internet and printed out in blue.  Placing them across the card, in no particular direction, I swiped a paler blue intermittently over them and realised I needed to add some other colour.
I used a wheel diecut that I won from Robyn's giveaway, on this first card.

I found some translucent shell 'beads' in my stash and added them along the lower edge of this card.

Some beautiful starfish buttons, hiding in another little stacker, fitted beautifully along the lower edge of this card.

I made an extra for the Hostess but made it totally different.

Using a blue metallic ink I spritzed the card and, when dry, I placed some sign posts.
I made these by cutting up the left over sentiments and attaching them to some wallpaper shapes.  A small strip of paper for a pole and those signs are posted!
I love this, so simple yet so goood.   I don't say that very often do I?!?!

UK ATC May Colour - Yellow

I used some corrugated cardboard as a base for this first card and covered it with fine yellow patterned tissue paper.  I used a flowered frame over this and decorated it with a gold embossed sentiment.  Adding an embossed tree to the centre completed my first yellow card

Another piece of corrugated cardboard gave me the base so I used a yellow inkpad to colour it.  Once the card was dry, I wrapped it with yellow and mauve spotted ribbon round the centre and added two yellow bows (they had tiny pearls in the centre).  I added a gold embossed sentiment to complete my second card.

I covered the third piece of corrugated cardboard, after colouring with a yellow inkpad, with pieces of yellow decorative paper.  I diecut a yellow flourish, punched some yellow flowers and added them to the card.  A few synthetic flowers and a few plastic beads filled in spaces, then I slid in a gold embossed sentiment.

ATC World - Road Trip

As I have already made several of these cards I chose three to post off for the swap.
Using ribbons from stash, paper from my Docraft goody bag and a few stickers, I had these beauties all ready to post off.

I printed out my sentiments onto the backing papers, I also had to print the sentiment for the ticket on the third card.

I placed some ribbon pieces across two of the cards, leaving room for a ticket or two.

This little boy is one of my favourite images so I printed it out a couple of times, coloured it with watercolour pencils and made the image 3D.  As he is starting off with his valise I gave him a passport to help him on his way.

I received these following cards back:

A little glittery car.
Thank you Laureta.

To Earth and Beyond.
Thank you Margo.

A map of Northern Ireland.  A place I visited after the Troubles were over.   I crossed over into Eire when I visited friends who were neighbours at the time the IRA blew up Birmingham people and children.  My friends still felt it strange to cross the border and have no checkpoints.
I had to see the country for myself .... it was beautiful.  Although the members of the IRA blew up places in my city, I knew they did not represent the whole of the Irish peoples - I said and still say - I have never met a bad Irishman.

I love this card - my own personal souvenir of a good trip.
NB. note the little tiny words and the car ... there is a road that leads downhill yet the car travels uphill ..... only in Ireland!
Thank you Marna for a very special to me card.

Thank you Judy for hosting such an enjoyable swap.
