WOYWW #703

WOYWW?  What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday of course!  The day I go travelling round as many desks as I can to see what other folks have been up to and, of course, my Thanks go to Julia at Stamping Ground for enabling so many desks and lifestyles to be shared each week.  Thank you.

My desk

A bit of post to sort, some form filling and then onto crafting.

I have been trying to sort out some of my stash . . . . not really sorting, actually looking for a certain stamp for a swap I entered.

I think you know the answer to the question . . . .  did I find it?

Not so far but I will keep looking . . . . it's in there somewhere!

Thank you to all my visitors last week, really cheered me up.

WOYWW #702

On a bright sunny November morning . . . . one that is not raining! . . . . I show you my desk . . .

I have finished my small artworks and am attaching small jewels.  I have attached them as centres to my flowers  and now want some small pearls for my mermaids and then poof! off they go in the post . . . . not really.  They will probably have to wait until Sunday when I may have a visitor.  No worries, I have until the end of the month.

I have so much going on at the moment that I am really enjoying this crafting time. . . . although I have washed all the baby clothes ready to gather and label, I'll show them another time, which means I am starting on new ones for the next collection which is always exciting . . .

After much checking of links given by Surgery and getting pretty irate (after a month) I phoned and was told "oooh! an appointment has just come up",  I took it as I missed out on the Spring booster . . . no appointments available and when I found a walk in  . . . they were not giving them out any more and I would have to wait until the Autumn . . . . our caring NHS

One sore arm and 24hours of feeling out of sorts,  I am back to nearly normal and able to be crafting etc. so I shall start this month's cards later.
My screen . . .
Enjoy your week whatever you're doing.

WOYWW #701 the one with the hat

WOYWW?  What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday of course!  The day I go travelling round as many desks as I can to see what other folks have been up to and, of course, my Thanks go to Julia at Stamping Ground for enabling so many desks and lifestyles to be shared each week.  Thank you.

I feel quite pooped out after all the celebrations last week!!  Taking things quietly . . . . . again . . . .

The Desk

Just finishing some swaps for November.  The coins just need a little shimmer to the mermaids, edges neatened, and they're done.

The Copper ATCs are completed  . . . .

and the Teatime Coins . . . .need to be started!!!

So here is the hat . . . . what you've all been waiting for! It's very comfy and keeps my ears lovely and warm.

The photos aren't very good as they were taken as selfies . . .  these are the best of the bunch.

I am loving it, especially as it matches my hair so well.  lol

I was going to knit a matching scarf but I think that may be a touch too far . . .

WOYWW #700

WooHoo!!  700 posts!!  Well done Missus Dunnit!!  Through thick and thin you've been there for us, thank you so much . . . . .

The desk . . .

This old hat has been used every winter or windy day for 10+  years.  It's just a beanie with some added Christine invented decoration.  The plaiting adds height on top and more warmth to my ears . . . . .

I haven't managed to finish my new hat as yet, like Peter always used to say . . . I unpick more than I knit!!

The hat is just a beanie pattern so no problem there, it's the wonderful invented decoration that is causing the slowdown to the finish.

These are my third lengths ready to plait.  The first were too short so I had to undo and knit a few more rows . . . .   The second ones were too thin.  I counted the stitches on the old hat and proceeded at a a pace . . .  the plaits added NOTHING to the hat.

These are my third attempt, more stitches, bigger pins and, to be honest, I am quite hopeful that I will be wearing it when I go out again . . . . .

I haven't been creating, I have been again trying to sort 'things' . . . . new underbed storage bins so baby clothes all sorted plus wool of course.  These bins will be stored in the garage as the space is needed for the Christmas Tree Village.  I like to start early and add something more everyday,  I like the changes and the children like to see what they can find new . . . .

This started way back when my children were small, chocolate decorations were added last as the house rule was that once they had been eaten  . . . . the tree came down!!!  Sneaky eats meant that we often had one dec hanging around until after Christmas . . . . you can guess who ate that so she could get the tree down and the house back to some normality!!  lol

I DO remember one year that the tree came down on Boxing Day!!!!!

Anyhoos, I am scheduling this as I have a lot to do on my laptop . . . end of the month and all that . . .
