WOYWW #502

My week is marked by the passing of the WOYWW .... week by week we gather here and have a chat and share and ....... have a look ..... have a laugh .... then it's back to normal days .... or as normal as can be!  Thank you Julia for this great meet up..... if you want to join in dear Blog readers, then the deets are at the top of the page.

I am grateful for it being Wednesday today, the Engineer has transformed into a Builder for the moment ..... he never made it last week so today is the day!  Drills, plaster boards, doors, planks.... they're all there .... transforming my craft room so that I can add a bit of tidiness to the place!  lol

I bet you're wondering where my desk is hiding?

There it is!!!

Where do I hear you say?

Well, behind the bags, to the left of the boxes, over the magazines ...

... here it is......

I have managed to keep it clear enough to give me space to work but today - Out Of Order!

Today I am tidying up my files on this laptop and my external files, sourcing images for the upcoming swaps ......

PJ has decided to paint the pantry so he has been busy emptying everything into boxes, stacking them where he can, and is now cleaning all the shelves and walls prior to painting it all beautiful white.

There's a lot more pantry behind him!!!

T H E N

When these two rooms are completed we start on the last remaining room, the back lounge.
This poor room has suffered so much during this refurb, it has become a dumping ground prior to articles being removed to tip or Charity shop...... but soon ..... hopefully no more workmen will be needed (famous last words!)..... soon .... it will be 'open the French Doors and let's clean this place up!'

I do hope so.....

Just in case you wondered what I did create on my desk in the small amount of time I could reach it ....

I managed to paint and draw on my teabags for the swap, label and parcel them up.

I also found my Chinese embellishments (bought from Llandudno after the Crop) so I could also complete my Chinese New Year Swap.
They were all posted off yesterday.

So although it is pouring down with rain as I type, I am looking forward to the wonderful Summer Days sitting in my Back Lounge watching the birds, chickens and butterflies etc.!

  4. Tidying up is also never ending and you have to go through the getting much worse before it gets any better at all. Thank you for your visit today and your knd comments. You migh find that the Groovi system would enable you to try again and succeed with parchment work. Just a thought. xx Maggie #1 or #7

  7. I feel your pain - we have been trying to get ahead with the decorating, refurb and de clutter (ha!) but after 4 months so far only two rooms - my son's and the bathroom - actually look like we've achieved anything at all!! The others are all still fulfil of re-located stuff that I have yet to deal with. I don't think I'll ever have the patience to re-do my craft room! Love the little tea bags - so cute. Thanks for the earlier visit, Happy WOYWW Cindy #27

  13. Hi Christine, hopefully you can put all this palaver behind you soon. Your tea bags are cute! You're so lucky to live near the Cotton Patch - they're fantastic - I would like to rummage through their stuff in real life instead of just online! Thanks for your visit! zsuzsa #21

  16. The end is in sight Mrs! that French doors and summer evenings ambition sounds very do-able and very attractive! Your room looks extraordinary, who’d have thought we have so much stuff ‘out’! am jealous of the pantry...and that your lovely Peter is clearing and painting it..what a player. So it’ll be a double whammy of getting stuff organised and back into the right room soon, good luck!

  20. It is a while since I had a pantry but i remember my friend's pantry in America - it was so big and so useful. Yours will be lovely especially when it gets painted white. I hope you get all your renovations done quickly and back to normal - and crafting even more.
Love the teabags you have painted.
    Hugs, Neet 4 xx

  21. It’s ghastly living among builders’ mess, isn’t it, Christine! You get the feeling it’s never going to end, and there’s dust and mess everywhere and it’s really hard to find anything! I’m glad you’ve got a pantry - I absolutely love mine, that emerged from the awful disaster of discovering dry rot under the old kitchen cupboard. I hope you soon get back to normal, and in the meantime, well done for managing to achieve anything creative - I particularly love your teabag art. I’ve got soooo many teabags now and really need to do something with them!! Thank you for your visit, and so glad you like my scarf, and reading about our funny kitties! I remember what it was like, with our two old ones, and getting them to eat could be a real problem as they both had health issues at the end. They died within three weeks of each other. After a break with no kitties at all (awful), getting our two little kittens was such an adventure, and it’s fun having young cats about the place again - they certainly give us the runaround!! Unfortunately the plumber was unable to come yesterday as his wife is just out of hospital, but I’m hoping he’ll be with us the week after next. It’s not urgent but inconvenient more than anything. The roofer hasn’t got back to me so I shall have to chase him up again!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
