House Shaped ATCs

Something a little different ......
I have entered one of these swaps before and I loved the challenge so here I go again......
I wanted my houses to have a window to look through but couldn't find any thin vellum so had to make do.  I'm quite pleased with how they turned out............

I decorated the houses with paints, stamps and stencils and then drew out my shapes on some printed paper ...... recycle, recycle!!..... cut them out and adhered them to the vellum.  I cut out these shapes and left a longer piece at the left side so that I could attach this 'window' to the base card.  I then found some views of house rooms, after cutting them to size I added them centrally to the house.  The windows were then added along the side of the card.  I would have liked to added some fastenings but, by now, I was running very close to the postal date.

My returns were a delight to receive:

Thank you nanvan
Thank you allegrae

..... and this one!!!  Clever!
Thank you BlueSkyHare

Thanks go to our hostess who I cannot name at the moment.

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top to the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

Looking out on a dismal Tuesday evening, I feel the weather knows how I feel!  We are slimmer versions to last week but I don't know how long it will last!!  lol
We have both been very poorly but, hopefully, we are now on the mend.

After last week's fiasco with Blogger, it is with much pleasure I show you my desk!!!
Sorry, nothing going on!!!

There is actually ..... I am catching up with all my emails and downloads.  It appears to be a never ending task!!

One more thing

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HELEN H!

We wish you one of the very best ones .......... enjoy all the bonuses that come with it.

Ps .... So pleased that GS2 decided to make an appearance on your day ...... he's one year old today ........

Happy birthday to both of you ........

The Desk...

There should be a picture here but Blogger says it can't find Blogger.com's IP address.... I will try again later today........success!!!

To the left of the photo is a new card ready to start ...... use a die cut or two from the blue folder on the right.
I have already completed two of my swap cards so am going forward as I am unable to go out today.... PJ has a dickie tummy.
We will have to play catchup at Tyseley on Thursday/Friday as there has been soooooo much rain we not been able to go down to the Visitors' Garden.
I did visit Gardeners' World last Thursday with DDC, hence the photos of Heucheras on my screen ..... I did buy a few .... just a few .... we dodged the showers, watched the filming for BBC (yes, they were all there!), drank lots of coffee, walked a lot .......had a really good day.

Back to my card making then ..... see you later....

The desk.......

.... just sneaking in on the lower left are the 'lilac girls' with their background paper.  After being coloured with water colour pencils at the Crop, I have eventually managed to fussy cut them.  On the other side of the laptop is the next sheet of images - Theme for this swap is Bees!!  Just beyond that you may be able to see the latest stash ...... it wasn't intended, it's just that I needed some more ATC covers and had to make up the amount for post free .... more steampunk flowers and some diecut gold cogs and gears.

We have been out in the garden after all......
.
We managed to clear the centre bed at Tyseley Steam Trains but had to give up as we were soaked.... paddlin' and drippin'!!

Since then we managed a few hours in our own garden.

While PJ potted on his beloved tomatoes I start to clear the side bed.

Once I had a space a little helper came along.....

She didn't stay for long, soon got bored and moved off to the fruit trees....

.... here I am .....

So inbetween watching the showers and heavy rain through the window, I am slowly working my way through my swaps for this month .... more on that later.

Stay warm and dry, be(e) happy and have a good week.

The desk...
Not much change there, I'm afraid.  I cleared the desk and photographed my gorgeous ATC collection and that's it.
I hope to get back to creating sometime this week, but if the rain stops I shall be out in the garden at Tyseley, planting up the centre bed in the Visitors' Garden ready for the Open Day on June 22nd/23rd.

10th Anniversary ATCs etc.

I created lots of ATCs for this swap.
I used up stash as much as I could which included my dear old Carabelle A4 Collage stamp!!
I found loads of blue paper which were in a box of papers but I know that this paper is nearly 20years old so 'use it or lose it'.

I stamped, in three or four colours, several pieces of paper and then cut it all into ATC sized pieces.

I stamped some flowers on these papers, it is Spring..... sort of .....

I removed some of the card from my Lidl book and cut that into ATC sized pieces, finding out that some of the stamping was not central so had to cut the papers to fit the card .... I'm sure you've all been there!!!

Now I sorted out my box of Peel Offs (remember those?  lol) and removed all the 'Number' sheets.

Once the 10s were added I realised that the ATCs looked a bit bare so I printed out some Anniversary words and cut them to fit the cards.

For the backs, I went back to my box of papers and selected a bright pink (what else!) for the backing sheets.  Once I had all these elements together, it was just a matter of place and stick, place and stick, place and stick .........

I have these few completed ones left if anyone would like one.  I have a few postal requests to fill but should still have some left over.....

Now let's get to the exciting part ..... The Trade!

Thank you so much.

Last but not last ...... I have to say a big THANK YOU to TatteredRocks.  A really super work of art sent to the Crop itself.

Handmade box, hand stamped tissue and the most marvellous ATC.
I was not the only one to receive such a pressie and Debbie also contributed to the Raffle Prize Table as well......twice.
Love you Debbie and missed you. One day I will thank you in person ...... promise.

So that's it for another year, we now go forward into the next decade...... I wonder what adventures we will all share ..........

CROP 2019

We had a nice easy drive down to Shrewsbury.  Lots of roadworks but we kept on moving ...... and then arrived at a super location.
Taken from google
We unloaded and met up with those that were already arrived

All the usual unpacking and chatting catching up went on.....

Then the Official Bit - the welcome from Jo and Annie, our marvellous hostesses for the day.

Just a few of the other photos I managed to take during the day .....

The raffle table - Thank you to all who contributed, including those who couldn't attend.

The swap table - Thank you again to those involved, there were some incredible treasures offered.

I'm sure there are lots of 'fill in' photos taken but they will be found on other blog posts.
Not sure this desk will be covered!!!

First comes the unpacking.....

..... Last year's train was brought to show but somehow we never got round to giving it the run around!

This year it's the Bugatti - the nearest to the real thing that PJ will ever get!!!

Once it was unpacked, I don't think he stopped sorting and creating ..... he was not being rude, just involved!!  lol

Then it was time for the Group Photo ..... .........patience of Job has our Julia when trying to gather us all together and then arrange us....

But here we are  ...........

             the CROP of 2019

This was followed by much hilarity and then Jo and Annie surprised us all with a toast to many more years of WOYWW ing ....... Champagne (Prosecco) and assorted drinks .... then the cake......

Cut and dished out by the Queen herself.

What a wonderful day!

We all agreed that the WOYWWsers are the best folk ever!!!

Thank you to everyone involved in such another great day.
