Postage Stamps - Places/Scenery

Please include a background for your stamp(s) - it can be an extension of the stamp design or abstract, or something in between. Plain white backgrounds will not be accepted.

I really enjoy the challenge of using Postage Stamps.  Donnacr has quite a list of subjects for the year and beyond.  I must admit that I try to join as many as I can.
Beach scene = Distress Oxides and lots of sentiments, Moon landing stamp = Long way from Hot Air Balloons
Grass & Flowers = Map of Bois de Boulogne which are fantastic gardens as well (in Paris.... so's my heart!!)
Guernsey Stamps = was French, occupied by the Germans in the war, freed and claimed by UK

My returns always display a superb use of the stamps. . .
Beautiful material samples, thank you Haagmm, and there is an extended view on two of these ATCs, love 'em.
Thank you jo.on.the.go for your Pennsylvania river scene.          Thank you to Turquoisepineapple for your bright and flashy scenery.                                           Love the gold and silver touches.

WOYWW #581

Yeah!  Well!  Not been on here much . . . .really don't like this new format . . . .so  trying to sort 'things' out . . . . not much success  . . .  but heigh! ho!
At least I am a bit more au fait with the date and day!!!
It's WEDNESDAY so a bit of WOYWW is called for . . . . .
WOYWW?  What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday of course!  The day I go travelling round as many desks as I can to see what other folks have been up to and, of course, my Thanks go to Julia at Stamping Ground for enabling so many desks and lifestyles to be shared each week.  Thank you.

I am confined to indoors at the moment.  Three of our wonderful chickens escaped yesterday and we didn't notice . . .  during the 'catching' and putting back inside the ranch, the edge of the gate caught my foot and remained there. . . .  needless to say we nearly had chicken for tea!!  lol
I have a hole in my foot . . . . conversation stopper!
I managed to get inside and clean it up but I won't try going out in the garden until it has healed a bit more, so I am going to try to catch up with this Blog . . . . .so far I have updated a couple of spreadsheets, cleared some more boxes and may even finish off tidying the magazines!

So here it is  . . . .The Desk
Julia inspired me last week . . .  or the week before . . . anyhoos it was all Julia's fault!!

Seeing the g-nomies on her desk inspired me to attempt an Alphabet card - G for . . . .

Out came the dies and stamps (and the destructions of course!)
I shall keep going with this card and it will appear on this Blog soon.

I have also bought some new stash - Julia Watts - they are pre-loved dies, one of which I have spent two days trying to work it all out but succeeded in the end . . . .

There's three layers and I couldn't work out how to decorate them!!!  It's for a colour swap.
Will defo have to make some more but might go down the stamping road!
Have a good week, stay safe and healthy.

Through a Window

Windows do not have to be windows from houses, or shops, or barns. They can be an aeroplane window, a bird’s eye view from a birdhouse window, or a scene inside a window viewed from outside – all are fine. Let your Muse run free.
*****Just make sure there is some kind of window in your card design, with a view of a scene on the other side of the window.

This was an interesting swap.  It took some thought but in the end I decided on an aeroplane window . . . . . I thought acetate, fields, birds, ?fairies? . . . .

Surfing I found some stylised aeroplane windows and decided to use those, if you drew them then thank you and let me know in the comments so I can appreciate your artwork.

I altered the windows to suit an ATC, cutting out the aperture.  I slipped some small sketched images on the card, followed by acetate pieces and then placed the window on the top.

I received these fine specimens by return.
Looking outside at the Greenery.  Thank you Miss Rich.
Binge watching the Disney Channel.  lol  Thank you Allegrae.
Looking forward to the Holidays.  Acetate on show!  Thank you Chimerix.

Bother Blogger!!!  I have just found out that to get a new post to show, the red button in the lower right corner has to be clicked!!!

WOYWW #579

Not much to show here today.   My desk is like this . . . .

I am sitting sorting through boxes and this one happens to contain magazines . . . with Freebies.  I am enjoying my self separating the freebie instruction pages along with the freebie and then putting them in a folder.

I've been poorly but entirely my own fault so I don't want/need sympathy!!  I am allergic to white flour, this was discovered many years ago after an Allergy Test.  I regulate my white flour intake and rarely eat more than one biscuit's worth a day.
PJ has a craving for chips, his favourite food but one he is not encouraged to have.  In fact I have thrown out the chip pan but, alas, I discovered it had only moved into the garage, 'just in case'.   We tried oven chips but  . . . .no, not for us.
Now if you're trying to lose weight, eat less fat, then do NOT read the next paragraph.

I received an email from Lidl which included the news that they had on sale a mini fryer.  I investigated, we only needed a one portion size and  . . . . this looked like it!!  Off to Lidl we went, masked up and obeying the rules (not that there were many who did), straight down the middle,  you know, Middle of Lidl and all that!  There it was, the Mini Fryer!

It is sooooo suitable for us.  One potato, chipped equals two portions.
So there you have it and there were we . . . .had to try it  . . . .double egg and chips for me chuck . . . . oh! and some bread and butter!   No pictures as we were concentrating on the food.
This is the standout English meal, basic.  It was a most delicious meal.  Simple, easy and such a long time since we had any chips . . . the butty was the best!
But you see we followed this with a Strawberry Jam Sandwich . . . . white bread again . . .  My only excuse is  . . . .it had been such a loooong time since we had either, we had been very good . . .
So I have been really poorly ever since!!!  My own fault.  I know.  And the meal was sooooo worth suffering for . . . . really.
BUT IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE I DO IT AGAIN!!!  lol

Anyhoos, you haven't come about that . . . . but . . . that's why my desk is so . . . of course I am having to read the magazines first . . .

My Thanks go to Julia at Stamping Ground for enabling so many desks and lifestyles to be shared each week.  Thank you.
