UKATC November Colour - Purple

I sat down to make these cards with a really beautiful colour theme.
I sorted out several purple backgrounds, some wallpaper, some digitised designs.

I stamped and clear embossed these pansies, which once again proves that I am not much good at stamping and embossing!!!  I added some purple and gold peel off lines and edged the card with a purple stamp pad ink.

Embossed wallpaper showing a flower outline was covered with loosely woven fibre strip.  I have a large roll of purple sequin so some of that went down the side and a purple paper butterfly was attached.  I used glue dots to attach it but putting one on each wing took some doing!!!

I wanted to keep the word LOVE clear so I stamped a doyley and attached it along the top edge.  I used a silver butterfly that I purchased last week and, when I removed it from the acetate, I found a spare stone so attached it to the doyley and coloured it purple.

Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #111

I am busy trying to get most of my ATCs and cards ready for December - me being ahead!?!?!  Gotta be a first!
I saw this Challenge and it gave me the inspiration to create a Red ATC for my Colour Swap of the Month with my Yahoo Group (UK ATC)

I used Red Stripe and Red Spotted Washi Tape to frame a pink card and then cut out a sentiment.  I very gently dabbed the sentiment onto an inkpad, wiped the ink off with tissue and then applied glue stick to add it to the card.  I have several of these Flower Fairy tags, another recent find in my stash, so I stripped most of the backing from the Fuschia Fairy (she never felt a thing!) and added it at an angle on the card.  A red heart finished off the corner.

I will enter this bright and cheerful card in to the Challenge.

ATC World - 10 + 9 Days of Christmas

10 Lords a Leaping
I used images from the web as well as from on the 12days of Christmas website (I have used these images for several of my cards).

I printed out the number 10 and then coloured it using several shades of gold gelpen and put it aside to dry.  I decided that my Lord would be dressed in turquoise so I chose several watercolour pencils of various shades of this colour.  I then cut him out and placed him onto my number 10 card covering with a coat of PVA.

This Lord from the colouring pages is dressed in red, white tissue paper is glued over the picture to present a faux silk effect.

I printed out a Wordle background, covered the card with PVA and set aside to dry.  Once dry I wrote (coloured) the sentiment with a gold gelpen.

9 Ladies Dancing

I printed this picture from the 12 days site and then drew a gold circle approx in the centre and coloured the picture.  I almost coloured the whole but stopped myself in time!!

This cheerful lady is dancing with joy - see why here - she looked so cheerful she had to be used!!   Unfortunately, when I covered her with PVA, the colour ran a little but I don't think it is enough to spoil.  Two peeloff  numbers and the card is finished.

Conga dancing picture is from a defunct site but I just love it!  Girls night out makes you smile laugh, but been there.... I used various mediums to colour the girls, gelpens, glitter pens, felt tips .... just keep it plain.

UKATC November Monthly Swap

I have used some of my previously made cards for this swap, this makes swapping a bit easier for me at this time - Christmas coming and all that!!!

Here we have a Faux Silk pansy as created here.

This is from Paris set I first created for a Circle of Crafters swap, some of the others being found here.

And we have the 'Twins' from the Cats & Dogs swap which can be found here.

On the first day of November I received the following cards:

The detailing on these cards is amazing.  They are decoupaged but even the lettering is tiny.  I love them and it will be some time before I put them away in the album.
Thank you Beryl

UKATC 12 Days of Christmas

This swap has been hard work - although there are only 12 cards I must have made about 16!!!
I have not photographed them individually as I was trying to get them into their envelopes and parcelled ready to post.

I have used an angel stamp in white for two cards, a Nativity verse on another two and glittered a red stamp.  Angels were added to a stamped tree wish, to a purple bubblewrap print, and a zentangled background.  I stamped a silhouette city scene on Christmas paper and added a cut out Magi.  I stencilled an angel & star and then stamped a nativity scene over the angel silhouette on a pink card.  I used some brads to echo the stamping on one  and some shiny washi tape to another one which I also stamped with Joy.
I enjoyed working on these backgrounds but I am so glad that I made about twenty.  I applied Gesso to several cards just to see the finished effect - didn't know exactly what I was expecting to happen.  I then spritzed and left to dry.  On some I applied tissue paper and stamped over the top before spritzing to finish.  Some I just doodled various shaped leaves in blue, black or green ink.  Some I gave up on and just binned them.

Each of these cards are to have their own envelopes before posting. so I stamped each numbered envelope with a Christmas wish for Peace!

I also received this tiny stocking and Christmas card.  I am amazed that anyone can produce such perfect tiny work.  I knew that this Group was friendly and clever but I am blown away by the workmanship and kind thought given in this present.  When I opened my presents, long after Christmas when I came to put away all the decs, I found all sorts of goodies ... beads, die-cuts, a tiny flower bead, a small sample vial of perfume and some small charms.  So thoughtful..... so very thoughtful.
Thank you Jan, our wonderful Hostess and Group Leader.

ATCs For All - Washi Tape

Washi Tape swap suggested by a member of ATCs for All! sounds fun so I sorted out all my Washi tapes and I was ready to go.
Some time ago I bought a DoCraft Grab bag which contained several rolls of Washi Tape and then, while on holiday, I bought some more rolls of very shiny Washi Tape.
I have been using a roll of the DoCraft tape to secure my sets of cards when I post them off and had a tiny amount left.   I used some of the shiny tape to form a background on the first card and then added the last piece of the DoCraft tape.
I attached a 'luggage' label, also from the Grab Bag, by tying some thread in a bow and securing with a glue dot.

I wanted my second card to be totally different but still use several tapes so I sorted a pretty pink background paper to which I attached assorted tape, making banners which I highlighted in a deeper pink.  The tape across the top of the card unified all the tapes but now the pink background looked very plain!  I decided to enhance the colours using cotton buds as a paint brush with an inkpad.

My third card was to be a framed image, and I knew exactly which one image I would use.
I bought some batik stamps from the Evesham craft show so I thought I would try using them for this swap.  I am not very good with stamping ...... have I said this before?!?!  After much trial and error I decided to use my 'man' stamp, he's dancing and he's happy!!  Did I tell you that I am not much good at stamping?!?!?  After several attempts, I manage to print a reasonable image .... almost in the middle!  I framed this using a polka dot tape.  This ATC may not look much but it has taken me almost three hours to get this far!!  Far more effort has gone into this card but I am so pleased with the result.
