WOYWW ATCs 8th Anniversary

I decided that this year I would prepare all my ATCs ahead of the Anniversary instead of one last minute rush ..... I'm sure that you all know what I mean!

I printed out my little WOYWW lady (how I think of her!) and sat looking at her ......
I tried out several designer 8s and then printed out a page of my chosen design, which along with a pre-painted background would complete the card.
I coloured her hair bright florescent pink!  I added a skin tone and some 'paint splots' then fussy cut out all my ladies.
I coloured up some of the 8s on the printed page and cut the paper to ATC size.  I also cut out some plaques to add along the top edge of the card, these were PC coloured and printed.
Some torn painted paper along the card, add a Pink Lady and a plaque, attach it all to a nice piece of Cornflake Box!!
I find that a lot of the packaging is perfect thickness for these cards and is free!
My ATCs are now all ready to go  ...... same design but all different ......

I have received the following cards from my 'Swapping Partners'

The first card to arrive was from LunchLadyJan ......

Very cleverly done as a print ...... I am sure that I read somewhere that designing on PC is a craft in itself.
Thank you for my lovely card Jan.

The next card was  from our hostess herself.  Lots of stamping, spraying, diecutting and glittering going on here ..... methinks the lady had a lovely time.
Thank you Julia.

Then there was a flurry of ATCs.

My swapping partner (Lynnecrafts) sent me this gorgeous Japanese themed card, this will be added to my Oriental Collection eventually.
Thank you Lynne.

Glitter and Glue enclosed a beautiful card with her ATC.  I use the word inspirational here as I love this card and it has inspired me to 'have a go!'

The ATC is made from pearlised card, stamps and diecuts used.
Thank you Margaret.

This beautiful teal & white card arrived, with just a touch of glitter .....
Thank you BJ.

Shazsilverwolf's card show's off her skills to an E (Embossing).  Love it.
Thanks Shaz.

Landing on my mat a few days later was this glittering regal card!  I so agree with the sentiment.......

Thank you SharonK.

NikkiC absolutely blew my mind!
A small parcel arrived and when I opened it  ....
A very pretty purple ATC sized package.

Opening up, there are two envelopes holding untold articles.
So exciting!!!

Once opened and the goodies displayed ...... lovely diecut flowers and a card with washi tape ..... wonder what is underneath it?!

..... and here is the ATC.

Such a lot of thought has gone into this and it is sincerely appreciated.
Thank you Nikki.

Donna and I were late visiting each other but the card from Itsadonnathing arrived safely.

Love that the ATC and card go so well together.
Thank you Donna.

So now my agglomeration* of Cards are on display in my craft room.  Such a wonderful time..... Thank you so much girls for all the cards and thank you Julia for hosting such a Blog!!

WOYWW #418

What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.
I have lost a great deal of time this past seven days asleep in my bed as I ate something that really upset my body.  Thankfully, I am much better now but have so much to catch up!!
I don't think I have managed to post on any of my Blogs, this I must rectify asap therefore today I Blog ....... some of the time!
My desk is a work in progress, well, several actually .....
I have the setting up of a card for the June swaps, a new colouring book from Lidl which uses highlighter pens (I have a few as you can see!!) and my box of die cuts.  I am not taking bets as to whether I will cut new shapes.
Also one can see an ATC.
This is on my desk ready to be photographed and blogged ..... possibly today ..... I am thinking of a complete post for the making of my own and my beautiful 'received' cards.
This card has arrived from SharonK (thank you) and lies there twinkling in the sunlight - when it shines!
Short and sweet today as I am now off to collect Little Soldier, we will be wandering round the locality today as Grandma and Granddad have lots of shopping to do.
Catch you all later .........

WOYWW #417

What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

Thank you all for such a wonderful gathering last week, I tried to visit as many as I could while holding a celebratory coffee in my hand!!
I have received some wonderful cards, shown below, and thank you one and all ...... I know that there are more to arrive yet .........
I am linking up this am but will update the posting later.  I am running late this morning, I did not schedule this post as I was soooo busy yesterday, so am keeping it short and sweet for the moment.
Julia, Lynne, Margaret
BJ, LLJ and Shaz

Will pop back later to complete the post .......

I am back!
We have been to visit a Chicken Hotel this morning.  The hotel we used last year has closed for business but PJ has managed to find another one so off we went to look at it.
We collected Little Soldier and went out into the countryside, love the English Countryside.  On the way back from the Hotel we stopped at a canalside pub for lunch and had a beautiful meal, watched the boats go past...... so restful we didn't want to leave but Little Soldier needs his sleep still.  He is down to an hour a day now but that time allows me to visit a few desks so it is very precious.
I have received the above celebration cards and I know that there are several still in transit.  I am going to make a few more so if you still want to swap with someone .... let me know and I will send one out to you (once completed!)
My cardmaking has been on hold this last week as our Plasterers were in sorting out our bathroom, a grand job has been done there and soon they will be back to start on the kitchen ...... I hope that the decorators will be able to 'follow' them around the house, fixing and painting ......... that's my hope!
Now I am off to visit as many desks as I can until Little Soldier wakes up ........

May Theme

Butterflies!!
Three different cards and techniques.

I used a piece of wall paper sample for the background and added a bought butterfly from stash with a paper ribbon sentiment.

Another piece of wallpaper, gloriously coloured and shiny.  I found a 3D butterfly in matching colours in my stash .... how lucky is that!

I printed the sentiment, edged it with blue ink and attached it along the left side of the card.

A small piece of butterfly paper formed a background for the card.  I added some glaze to a couple of the butterflies (still wet and white) then found a Tim Holtz sentiment which I cut to size and spread across the page.

I received the following cards:

Beautifully collaged.
Thank you Mel.

Beautiful and Pink!
Thank you Pat.

3D with wires .... on pink...
Thank you Margaret.

May Colour Swap

This month's colour is Cream.

I have a box of cream ribbons & laces and a box of cream embellishments, just empty takeaway boxes from our local Chinese takeaway, so this was an easy one for me.  A selection of cream papers and off we go.........

I used a cream wallpaper on this card and added a length of lace and some small crochet flowers.  I found a length of overprinted cream ribbon so added that down the left side of the card.

I wrapped the lower right hand corner of this card with a length of cream net and secured it with two lengths of cream ribbon, one slightly narrower and overprinted.  i used one of the thin wooden tiles in the top right hand corner.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and thought I would have a try at CASeing it.
I used a quite thick textured paper on this card, the sentiment was stamped using one from a set given away free with a  magazine.  I stamped the pot, also from the same set, watercoloured it and then fussy cut it and attached it along the lower edge.  I attached the ribbons to indicate stems and then attached the buttons securely.

I have received the following cards:

If you look very carefully you will find a delicious tiny embossed flower....
Thank you Iona.

Love this spotty sausage dog with silver pawprints around the edge.
Thank you Gwyneth Rose.

Beautifully printed and cut fashions on net.
Thank you Kathleen.

WOYWW #416

Happy Anniversary Julie and everyone!!
So pleased to be here and sharing with everyone......
I have been sorting through my stamps for some butterfly ones for this month's theme on UKStampers.
I found this adorable card and so wanted to CASe it as I knew that, deep in the depths of my craftroom, I had some very old wooden stamps which would give me the same sort of background.
So here is my desk .......

I have stamped out several backgrounds for my ATCs and am now trying to decide which butterflies will go where!
The usual clutter surrounds the workspace .........
As it is the Anniversary week, the 'pink lady' is putting in an appearance ...... two are spoken for, another will go to my 'partner' which leaves me with 5 ......... if you would like to swap with me, get in quick!!  lol
I hope to get back online before the week is out .... today is extra busy as I have to fit in a hairdressing appointment, my hairdresser has to attend a funeral so rearranged the appointment so I couldn't really change it to another day ......ho hum!  such is life!

Have a good day everyone, let me know if you would like to swap and I will see what I can do.......

Winey ohs!
You shouldn't discriminate against which grapes your wine is made from because wine doesn't discriminate who drinks it.

Wine must only be consumed on days of the week with and "a" in them.

April Colour Swap

The swap theme this month is to use your least favourite colour ...... yellow!
Now I love yellow daffodils, forsythia, kerria deutschia..... flowers .... yes!  Maybe a bright front door, but my colour of choice?  No!!

After much thought I decided to start with a Gelli Plate print and printed off a steampunk design.  I then cut this A4 print into several ATC sized pieces and put them to one side.  I gathered together several embellishments and settled down to work.

I added some bright yellow diecuts, forming an abstract flower.

I added a heart diecut to the next card but tipped the end into a diecut orange wreath.

I framed this card with two lengths of ribbon and added a few yellow butterflies.

I smooshed some yellow DI onto some Tim Holtz sentiments and added them to the cards to complete the look.

I received the following cards:

Really bright orange!
Thank you JanS.

Collaged together beautifully.
Thank you Kathleen.

                                           Super watercolour scene, love it.
                                         Thank you BarbaraB.
