Domino Host Card

I decided to decorated a Domino card as a Thank You to the host of one of my swaps.  I have been sending an extra card but thought the Domino would be something different.
I used some of the stickers from my stash and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I used the corners and a flower for the closed 'front' page.

When opened to the next page I thought this looked like a 'contents' page and used some letter stickers.

Flowers decorated the next pages.......

....... and continued onto the next page ........

A fashionable lady with some flowers completed the last two pages.

I love the way the cards open up but then fold down to fit inside this tiny envelope!!

Domino Owls

An introduction to the Domino ATC card.

Way back in time I discovered an ATC kit.  Now I had been looking at these cards on and off for some time and, when I saw this kit, I knew I wanted to start swapping.

The Dominoes are folded in the kit so I had no inkling how they would look unfolded ...... quite interesting!

So I started decorating, well you have to don't you?!?!

I used some of the papers for the backgrounds and then found some diecuts of owls.  I just enjoyed myself and then ...... folded them all away!!!

UKATC October Theme - Steampunk

I used my digital stamps from Heartfelt Creations, coloured, stamped and decoupaged.   I love these Gears - I never knew that Steampunk could be so feminine ..... and brightly coloured.
I forgot to take photos before I posted them off so am using the ones that Jan took for the Yahoo Group.

They are water coloured, embossed and coloured with metallic pencils. I shall have to make some more!!!

I received these cards by return:  to be edited

PaperArtsy 2015 Challenge #1

Leandra posted a really interesting Challenge this month - Fragile papers.  I remember posting about my ATCs some time ago but I still have them and admire them often - in fact I think I will make some more.
I didn't use papers from any of my books but tore three pieces of paper from the pages of our local free paper.
I drew out the sizes of the ATCs  on the paper and drew various flower symbols with a lead pencil.   Using watercolour I covered the front of two papers and the back of the third one.
The painting on the back did not show so when it was dry, I painted the front of the paper as well!

I painted one yellow and pink, one was blue and green, and the third one was painted blue on both sides.

I had to leave my desk for a while and, as you can imagine, the paper was very dry when I returned.
I painted the flowers with watercolours, even the white showed through a treat, and left them to dry.

Once dry, I attached the paper to the card and rounded the corners to complete them.

ATCS For All - Mermaids

I had good ideas for the Mermaids swap but time ran away with me again – must try to be better organised next year!
Some hope!!!

I drew out the tail of my mermaid card – ‘missed her’.

Then I needed one sitting on a rock and one swimming by.  I managed to find pictures on line portraying these subjects so used them as inspiration.

I watercoloured the mermaids, seaweeds, seafloor and fishes, then realised I should have painted the background first!!!

I decided to spray the finished, dried cards with a gold spritzer and then, when that had dried, sprayed with a blue one.

The result was good, very shimmery - which was not good for photographing, but I still popped them in an envelope and posted them off to our hostess.

I hope they arrive in time.
