Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge #144 - Things with Wings

I found some Iris Folding patterns on Michael's Blog so set out to make some ATCs.
I printed all my papers on my PC, my background on cards and my folding papers on thin paper.

After I finished the folding I outlined the Butterfly with white gelpen and added a sentiment.

I can't wait for the summer to come and bring the butterflies back!

I am linking this card to Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge  - Bookworm or Things with Wings

ATCs For All - Abstract Torn Paper

This was a brilliant swap!

I took several pieces of corrugated paper and remove one of the sides.
I sprayed them with my red spritzer and put to one side to dry.
I then added several torn pieces of paper to fit and added a few rub ons sentiments.

During this time the forum discussion included instructions that the torn paper had to include the backing and the labels!!!
SO .....
I removed the fronts from the backs and made some new backs BUT this time I tore the backs into shape.

Then I attacked the labels applying the same principal, tear all the edges!

My first card has a smile sentiment....

.... then came the laughter ...

.. and the sentiment verse .......

I received the following :

Pretty on purple.
Thank you Blancalobo.

This sentiment is covered in fabulous papers.
Thank you Hally.

Love this sunray.
Thank you NancyL.

UKATC December Colour - Blue and White

I like the idea of these challenges - mixing colours every month.

I used some of my book print for this card and stencilled some flowers and butterflies with a blue gelpen.  I used a paper strip from which I had punched the shapes for an earlier project as the stencil.

I used some puncinella on this card.  I laid it over the card and spread gesso over, sprinkled blue glitter over the top and then removed the puncinella and put the card to one side to dry.

I used one of the sentiments from my Heartfelt Creations set of dies on the centre of the card and then placed diecut gears round the edge. I added some stamped gears to fill in the gaps.

I covered a piece of card with washi taper and, using a star shaped label as a template, cut out a star shape and attached it to the left side of the card.  I punched small stars from the leftover washi tape and placed them over the empty card space.

I did not send out the glitter card for this swap but kept it for an ATCs For All swap.

I received the following cards:

Pretty diecut dragonflies.
Thank you JudithAnn.

More diecuts make up this beautiful card.
Thank you JuneB.

A pretty vintage picture.
Thank you Philippa.

CWS July - Precious Metals

Unfortunately I didn't remember to take photos before I posted the cards.  I am using parts of the collective photo.

The first card has a clock design background with a metallic paper diecut butterfly.  The sentiment was printed out and placed under the butterfly's wing.  I cut off the legs of two brass brads and adhered the tops with glue dots.

I used this ruler embossed copper card for my second card and added some bronze medallions.

The silver foil came out for this card, then added a gold peel off.  Sentiments printed out with 'silver' coloured font cut and added to the edges of the card.

There were no returns this month.

UKATC November Swap

Another month is here!

One of my stamped backgrounds cut to size and then I stamped and embossed some parisian signs.
I added a nice gold diecut eiffel to finish this card.

I used some brown card as the background, and splodged blue paint over the surface.
I cut the signposts out of the wallpaper and added printed signs (or words in this case!).

The background for this card uses a McDonalds bag.
Yep!
I loved this patterning and colour so thought I would make a good background for a card.
I added a length of lace down the centre of the card and adhered a glittery butterfly.

I received these super cards by return:
A beautiful decoupaged hisbiscus.

I love this scene,so beautifully decoupaged.

And this angel!  I have used a photograph as my lock screen for my phone it is so beautiful.
        Thank you Angie C.

ATCs For All - Steampunk Animals

Ssteammppunkk!!  yeah!
I sorted out some sketched of animals, then stamped some cogs and embossed them with gold and pink.

I diecut a few more cogs and added them to the backgrounds. used my NEW background Steampunk stamp.

I used my multicolour ink pad and stamped it twice so that I could make four backgrounds.

I coloured up the animals to match the background, using my metallic and glitter gelpens, and fussy cut them.

I added them to the cards and then added a few printed out words.

I received the following:

Thank you Barkesm.

 Thank you canadarosebud.

UKATC August Theme - Butterflies and Trees

I bought this butterfly die specially for this swap.

I painted the background with green watercolour and then used a banch diecut from an envelope and placed vertically.  Two double butterflies completed the picture.

I coloured a scenic background with my watercolour pencils for this card.  I heat embossed some small punched butterflies with pink embossing powder and added them to the tree.

After painting the background with green watercolour, I added some die cuts from envelopes to form a branch and grasses. Two diecut butterflies added flat finished the card.

I received these cards by return:

Black and white flowers with blue butterflies.
Thank you

Tiny pink and red butterflies and gemstones.
Thank you

I love the background to this ATC.  Tiny butterflies are perfect.
Thank you
