WOYWW eeeeeeee! #520

Anniversary Post on the most Fabulous Blog evah!!!
Thank you Julia for listening to your friends and having us over every week..... and once a year appearing in person!!!
Really looking forward to this year's Crop, nothing beats a meet up in person.

The desk...

Swap Coins sorting ...... Anniversary ATCs hidden at back!

For those who commented about Rhoda - The Rhode Island Red Chicken - here she is in all her beauty.  We had several breeds: 2 x Amber Links which were named Amber and Bianca (they were white!!!), 2 x Colombian Black Tails named Columbine and Deidre (we ran out of significant names! lol).
Rhoda now rules the roost, lays the occasional egg and keeps us amused.

The stitching is continuing apace .....

From this ......

......to this.....

......doesn't look much but it is, the lady is acquiring a petticoat!!
And so life continues around here, busy busy busy.

We went on our first outing with GS2 today ....... had a lovely time.... him and us!!!

Looking forward to half term now!!!

that's it for this week then, off to sort out the ATCs so I can post them asap.
If you asked to swap then expect an email requesting your address pretty soon!!!
Have a great week.....

  1. Wow, I like how you have some real greenery at the back of your desk. It looks rather busy, too.

Loved how you explained about Rhoda, and little man is a real cutie. That cross stitch made my fingers ache (grin). Happy 10th from # 4.

  5. Oh yes Rhoda really is in her element, i'd love to have chickens but i'm sure my Neighbours would have something to complain about. Love your cross stitch, it's been a long time since I did any probably 15 years or more I would say. My MIL has her's framed and they are on every wall. Fabulous downtime activity.

  10. Happy 10th WOYWW to you! Lovely to see your cross-stitching. I recently took all my cross stitching down from my walls and kept only a very few pieces and the rest went to the charity shop ... think I regret it now though, of course, but, hey-ho, too late now! G52 ... the name intrigues me? Love to you from Debbie #25 xXx

  11. Hi Christine, loving Rhoda, she looks like a proper little madam! I'm really late as I was forced to go out with friends today to drink coffee and eat scones.... I could hardly say no! but it has made me late getting round. I said I would like to swap and I do have an address for you from 2016 but not sure if it's still the same. You can use my contact form on my blog if you like. Wishing you a lovely woyww and a happy creative week with hugs, Angela x19X

  14. Rhoda is a good looking girl isn't she, I love the idea of keeping chickens and having fresh eggs - perhaps one day! Your embroidery is beautiful, such a lovely design.

  15. Hi Christine. sorry I am late visiting. Happy 10th WOYWW anniversary. Love the cross-stitching. I really need to finish a piece I started ... in 2012 when my first grandchild was born. My daughters rib me about it constantly as I now have 3 grandchildren! It's so detailed it makes my eyes hurt! Ah well, maybe I can give it him on his 21st birthday! I'm taking ATCs to the crop, so if you have a spare one we can swap there if you like (I can't remember if we agreed to swap or not - bad memory)! Have a lovely week, Heather x #30

  19. Sorry I’m late! Lovely light on your desk, how nice a place to work! Bet you still feel smug when you go in there after all that hard work. I like the coin ATCs,wonder where that idea came from. I will be able to ask you in person next week! Your stitching is gorgeous and coming along at a pace, mine only gets a look in at craft club and on holidays, each of those involve chatting more than stitching!!
