ATC World - Suffragettes

I can remember my Mom talking about these happenings...... she were only seven years of age but her Mother was a supporter - not actually demonstrating but supported in other ways and because of this past history I joined in the swap.  I would have liked to add a ribbon banner but could find quite the right colours.  I used newspaper clippings and a photo of a banner which I altered to fit.  After I had collaged these images, they needed some more colour and a bit of life, so I added some dark green ribbon which was edged with gold and some bits of purple.

My swaps came through today and they are a great selection again.

Brigita has spent a lot of time making hers, she has not only included tiny flowers but lots of glitter all tied up with blue string!

Marlene included the front page of a newspaper celebrating Emily Wilding Davison (who gave her life to the cause).  It is folded up on the ATC and unfolds for viewing - very clever.

Patty hosted the swap and sent me this stamped one.  It looks like a real stamp that has been issued by the United States Postal Service and is so appropriate for me (me being a Philatelist!).  Great swaps again!
