I decided to use my ATC 'naked' as I had cut them from a Yorkshire Tea box - the views of Yorkshire are wonderful and not to be wasted!
I stamped some raindrops in black on a sheet of vellum and then cut the vellum to fit the card. I cut a polythene bag and stamped this with some blue raindrops.
I joined the cards, the vellum and polythene by using some sticky dots ...... I used washi tape to cover this part. Using a black micro pen I wrote the sentiments on the pages sheet by sheet.
Rain, Rain...........
Go Away ......
Gone!
I made an extra one as a thank you for our Hostess.
I received the following cards by return:
This card looks like the view from my window!
Thank you DeniseMDupree.
A modern take on the theme here.
Thank you Gwenniejoe.
I just love this view ..............
Our wonderful Hostess became quite poorly just as the closing date for the swap approached. We were kept up to date with events by her daughter but it was a worrying time for all of us.
Jean recovered, came back to the Group full of apologies for not sending out the returns, but were we bothered - no, we were not! - we just wanted Jean to be well again.Jean eventually felt well enough to sort the cards and send them out to us, but she still felt guilty so enclose one of her own cards as an apology - a beautiful watercolour.
Thank you so much Jean, we are pleased to know that you are well on the road to recovery.
