Recycled Swap

I love recycling!  I try to find homes for most things, and have a box full of wrapping papers, tickets, magazines etc so this swap is right up my street as they say!
While I have been clearing the house ready for the central heating - I know I keep on about it but it is a big thing in my life!!! - I hav efound a lot of 'old' stuff.  There are maps, tickets, photos, serviettes, all sorts of memorabilia and,of course, all the bags, coffee cup holders, and other 'stuff' that I will re-use 'some day'!!

So ....

I took a bit of shoe box tissue, a magazine  page, an old book page and a ATC made from a teabox.

Now here's a MacDonalds tray paper, an old holiday map, the bag that contained PJ's medicine and an ATC made from a cereal box.

Magazines from Eurostar are keepers, they really are!  Another page from an old book and a business card from a French Bistro...... and.... and an ATC made from a mince pie box.

Now ... this is something different ... along with the old book page, is a EuroStar ticket, a serviette from a restaurant in Malta, some used postage stamps and .... of course .... an ATC, this time made from a chocolate biscuit box.

Oh! here's something else!
Lovely bright outers from take away coffees - I peel them off, die cut them and re-use of course!!  So cheerful ....

I spent Sunday afternoon making the ATCs, taking each group of 'papers' and making up a design.
I had determined that the text pages would be the main background on each ATC so off I started .... pritt sticking pages to ATCs.

I tore a piece from the shoe box tissue, showing four of the feathers in circles, screwed it up and then opened the paper out leaving some of the creases.  I attached it across the left top of the card, making sure that the creases remained.  I cut out some pictures from the magazine, a shopping bag and a biscuit tin.  The handbag was attached to the top right and the cat tin to the lower centre - just in case anyone wondered I pasted the title with it!!!

I cut the trees from the medicine bag, not really fussy cutting but close!!
I added a beach scene from the old spanish map booklet along the front ... love how out of proportion it is!  Three ice cream sundaes cut from the tray liner finished this card.

I love this card!  Why?  because it has a business card from a very friendly French Bistro - Le Charolais.
I cut out the 'enjoy' from the orange coffee cup outer, attached the circle to the top left and then added the business card.  It really is a business card, this beautiful smiling cow is on the back .....  I punched some flowers and butterflies from the magazine and arranged them round the card.  I stacked several flowers and added some glitter glue to the centres.  The flowers and butterflies stand proud, 3D ish, so bright and colourful.....

I cut words from the Eurostar ticket to match the text pages, 'discipline for the jouney' - the ticket reads 'Ticket Reservation' - the napkin from Malta has a sketch of the town, so I needed to find a postage stamp to fit in the story - a family with sunset on the beach..... perfect!

So there we have it!     Four ATCs created by using 'old' materials.
