WOYWW #377 - New Home

I have been thinking about moving for some time ....... I work a lot more with ATCs than Cards so ..... as there are nearly always ATCs in one form or another on my desk ....... I need to change!!!
Last weekend PJ and I swapped rooms - the Office became the Studio and my Craftroom became his Study, Mancave, Office ... whatever (which is what I call it!!).
While I am sitting here worrying where my latest ATCs are to be found, I thought I would move the WOYWW factor to a different Blog.
You will not feel a thing .... promise....
...... bet you didn't notice!!!
I am not moving my old posts from Cardius Bloggus they can still be found here, but now you will be able to see my finished ATCs a lot easier..... I had lots of requests to see the finished articles and they were here all the time .... (BTW for those who asked about the 5 Minute leaflet  - it's here).

So here's my desk ....
6' x 6'
Oops!  Maybe not .......

Here's the real one, still a work in progress but at least I have most of my stash in one room.
12' x 12'
I have the boring business now of sorting all through it ..... finding a new form of storage .... .... those mushroom baskets were fine on the shelves in the boxroom but they just don't 'do it' for me in here...
white boxes of Christmas stash
... but for the time being ..... they'll do.

Talking of stash in one room .... there's still the Christmas stash to move.
Hopefully when PJ's first and original PC is gone then I will be able to store my boxes on the shelves (which I can't reach at the mo being the short and sweet person I am).

Then there's the Peel Offs and glitterati and card blanks to be sorted..... and another mushroom tray of stamps!

Oh! My Goodness!
I have just spotted the 'Whiskas' box of stamps on the floor ..... stamps will definitely have to move .... where, oh where, is my fairy Godmother?

Now why am I showing you the chaos that I am living with at the moment?  Cos it's Wednesday and I am connecting up with fellow deskers hereabouts and thereabouts.
All down to our Amazing Hostess who looks after us all no matter what .........  thank you Julia.

I hope to be able to get round to visit this afternoon ..... if plans for Little Soldier play out ....talking of whom.....who .... what ..... whichever!

There are definitely no more balls in here!

  1. Happy WOYWW. I would love to swap rooms with hubby in a way, as he is downstairs next to the kitchen and it would save me a lot of energy/pain going up and down the stairs (and Buzz the dog could sit in with me more often), BUT I do love my current craft room (the oldest part of the house with the original beams and overlooking the yard) - and it is bigger, and has a shower room nearby for the toilet and basin (to wash paint brushes in!). 2. If I swapped rooms I wouldn't have the built in storage but I would have more daylight. Think it better if I stay where I am. Glad you moved though if it makes life easier. Do you find you are going to the wrong cupboards for different things?. I have been looking at a blank wall where the clock used to be in our dining room for the past seven weeks!
Glad you are happy with your new area.

  3. Your new space sounds great! I hope the swap was mutually beneficial. It looks like it's not only cats that like cardboard boxes, LOL! Cute! Have a lovely week! zsuzsa #21

  5. Think of all the surprises you may find sorting thru stuff. Not to mention the cutie that's helping you!

  6. Hi Christine, it's quite an upheaval, just moving from one room to another, isn't it? Took me ages to get everything sorted.. Met the surgeon, really nice guy. Told us pretty much what we already knew, so no surprises, which is good! Intends to do the surgery end of September, beginning of October, so have to wait and see for the crop. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #3xxx

  7. I surely understand the chaos - we moved in early April and we're still not completely unpacked! I hope your new room works out well for you.

  11. So did you just swap rooms because you needed a change??? As I'm on my tablet I was wondering what mushroom boxes were and imagined round bulbous baskets lol not square blue ones lol Thanks for the stain info, don't have a tumble drier. Soaked top and washed then dried in sunshine. Went to have a look and there seems to be a vague dark pattern round the original spots, thing it is a gonna! Thanks for visiting me BJ#24
