What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.
Hello and welcome to another WOYWWednesday, bit murky round here .... hope it's going to brighten up a bit as I plan to go to the Park - there's a Bouncy Fun Fair. Nope, no idea but it sounds fun sooooo ......
Warning!
New stash and I'm going to use it ....
I am sorting out ideas for a White ATC swap and I have my ideas sheet, white cards of varying whites - storytime there - and my dies folder. These two dies were part of my winnings from Creative Stamping and I am going to see how they work out with ATCs .... lacy edges, fancy frames etc.
The cornflour is there because I 'heard' that if you add cornflour to gesso you get a white crackle paste as it dries ......haven't managed to try it yet but it could appear on these ATCs .... it's white!
May not visit until tonight - sorting out bouncy castles etc. - so catch you all later.
Storytime: Way back in the day, the then husband and I decided to buy a new car. Finances were worked out and a trip to Oxford to collect the car arranged. When it came down to colour the clever husband decided that, as there were lots of shades of white, this would make it difficult to 'touch up' should the lovely new car get scratched. Therefore white was out of the question, although this applied to all the colours really .... except one.
It was decided we would agree with Henry Ford .... we would have black.
That little black Morris Minor outlived the marriage so it must've been a good choice!!!

Wonderful desk shot, nd so many crafty plans...
ReplyDeleteA college boyfriend had a back moggy too (how he LOVED that car!), it also overlasted our 3 years together :D
Happy WOYWW!

Hi Christine, as you can imagine, I am totally with Henry Ford, lol. I too thought the die cut storage was ace, I was fed up with trying to disentangle mine too. The great thing, especially with the currency storage pockets, is they come in a wide variation of options- ATC sized, coin sized, banknote, postcard etc- so it's easy to store all of them, no matter what the size. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 XxX
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. We bought a white car this year, but had scratch/chip cover with it too, so no need to worry about paint colour touch-up. Black cars and the countryside do not mix - they show up all the dirt/mud etc. Good luck with the white ATCs - an interesting theme. Ali x #25
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your crafty win! I love white on white, it looks so chic! Happy WOYWW Sarah #18
ReplyDeleteI adore white on white there are so many tones to mix together...congrats on your win... enjoy... May #15
ReplyDeleteLoved the story about the cars! I feel like that about my three piece suite..it's only two years younger than my marriage (35 years in Sept!!)
ReplyDeleteWhite on white can so look elegant and beautiful, hope it works out.
And I hope you're not too bounced out now.......*grin*
