WOYWW #445

Our weekly meetup of show & tell workdesks ...... love this little get together every week..... in the comfort of our own homes ..... come and join us ..... our Hostess Julia (deets at the top of the page) won't mind - I'm sure she'd say 'more the merrier' so come on in .....

I am having to make a Birthday Card
In among all the Christmas cards making I always seem to forget that one of my special friends has a Birthday on Christmas Day.  This year I have managed to get just the right stamp so that the card will be personal to herself.... unless I meet anyone else with a Christmas Day Birthday - not counting Jesus of course!!
My desk this week is all set to start making .... first the card then the secret present!
I have some peel offs, papers and THE STAMP!

Boring but ...... what about these snowy garlands ......

... to the normal person they would look like snow on telephone wires but this is me .......snowy garlands!  They reach across my bedroom window and drape across the road ..... love them.

Rain is forecast today so Little Soldier and me are moving 'stuff' around the house so that we have room for ..... the tree .... and the village ..... and.... the TRAIN!!!
Woohoo!  Christmas iza cummin ....... Christmas iza cummin....  (that's Brummie for Christmas is coming!)....

  1. Hi Christine, I had a close look at that stamp; do they make one for Christmas Eve I wonder (hubby's birthday)? In fact I have 4 family birthdays and 2 friends' birthdays in December so I have been doing almost as much birthday card as Christmas card making this month. Have fun with little soldier getting those Christmas decorations up! Happy WOYWW Sarah #12

  2. Hi Chris. Snowy garlands - love it. I always forget - until last minute that it is my brother's birthday on 18th December :-) In those days mums stayed in hospital a lot longer and my mum was in hospital for Christmas!! Two of my siblings stayed with my grandma and my sister and I were with family friends for Christmas. I remember having a fun time though. My brother was carried by the nurses as they went from ward to waed singing carols for the patients - a starring role as Baby Jesus :-) He was born at Dudley Road - as it was then. Anne x #15

  3. Having your birthday on Christmas day - although special - is a bit unfortunate! Love your snowy garland and you didn't even have to lift a finger to put them up LOL! Enjoy the snow while it lasts! zsuzsa #16

  4. How wonderful to find such a stamp - you must still feel like Christmas card making when you do it though so it should not spoil the festive moments.
All our snow has been washed away overnight and this morning - just a little on the back lawn.

  10. Down in Southampton in Hampshire (or, as the locals would say Souf'amptn 'ampshire 'ogs) the usual Yuletide greeting is something along the lines of:
"Got yer decs up yet mate?"
    lol
I think the scene is beautiful - and as for 'snowy garlands'... how perfect!
    Have a wonderful week,
    Bubbles

  11. Hi Christine I seem to have had to make several birthday cards, it shouldn't be allowed for people to have birthdays at this time of the year Lol! Don't they realise how busy we are! Nice photo too. Have a lovely and creative woyww, Angela x12x
