I am trying to sort out one of my external drives at the moment and in between downloading and/or recycling files, I am working on other things. My desk may look busy today but it is all ordered....
The offending external, on the left almost under the box, can just be seen above my book, which I am pencil lining ready to continue using as my diary. There are my red papers and card to create some coins themed Monochrome Red. On the other side of my laptop, with gorgeous photo of Burma jungle, are the latest purchase from Works (why? oh! why do I go in there?!?!?!).
I'll tell you why .... I happened to see Barbara Grey demonstrating some background stamps on Hochanda using stamps similar to these ...... have to doncha? lol
The Calibur is out on the desk cos I have been using it ....... surprised you there didn't I?
I have been trying out some cards, which didn't work in the end but I am not giving up!
Then there is my Stamp File ready for me to enter all the new stamps ........ organised you see.
Did I tell you I had a lovely Mothering Sunday?
DDN gave me some Euros and a gorgeous lantern (love me those patio lights).
DDC is taking me out for the day ..... more to follow.
DGS gave me some lovely pressies as well, post to follow.
Talking of DGS .... what about this then?
Growing so fast it is difficult to keep up....
Thank you to all my visitors last week, I'm sorry if I didn't make it round to your desk .... will try to do better this week.....
Following on from last week....
Back in the day, if a child was born before April 6th the tax payer (usually the Father) had a tax rebate for the full year, so some folks tried to beat the date and April became a very busy time of the year!!!
One of my daughters was born on 8 April, but I don't remember tax rebates coming into it .... possibly didn't earn enough at the time to even pay tax! we were young and broke then. My desk looks a bit like yours right now except that I don't feel it's that well organised..., that's the difference
ReplyDeleteOh yes, The Works is a place full of temptation! I go in for one thing and always come out laden....*grin*. That lantern is gorgeous, I really love that, what a great prezzy!!

I love the lantern, have been admiring a similar lamp in a local store but it doesn't fit (style-wise) in our home and besides that, my hubby doesn't like much 'coloured thingies' in the house... so I go wild on my 'hobo-spirit' in the atelier then, ha! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland. Marit #17
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, The Works always seem to have some great bargains, i agree. Love the lamp! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a stamp file. I always try to come up with the best way to create my inventories. I really want something visual that I can sort. That way I could remember what I have and use them in other ways. I keep spreadsheets with a lot of craft organization stuff but have been very bad updating.
ReplyDeleteLove your lantern. It's so pretty all lit up. Have a blessed day!

Hi Christine. Take heart me deario! I made a card the other day - yes, I really did - and then completely ruined it by sticking the greeting on in completely the wrong place - almost upside down! - so, not only did it end up in the bin, the poor thing got thrown the length of the room in sheer frustration. It had taken me an hour to make!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, I repeated the exercise the next day - worked like a dream, greeting on the right way up, and only took 30 minutes - so I must have learned SOMETHING!!
ReplyDeleteYour little man looks amazing - growing up so much. That lantern is great - enjoy.
Take care both. God bless.

Hi Christine, nice lamp. I don't get into the Range very often which is probably just as well cos I always come out with stuff I didn't know I needed and that's not just craft stuff. Happy creative woyww, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteI can't believe your GS is already standing up - he was born just the other day - or so it seems! Loving the lamp - anything that lights up gets my vote! You really have that coffee machine handy, don't you - you don't even have to stand up LOL - only to fill is with water once in a while! Happy crafting! zsuzsa #21
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, your DGS is growing apace and looks a complete cutie. Love the lantern, such fabulous colours. Hope you get your hard drive organised and sorted out soon. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteNever heard that about tax rebates, but then I was june and my brother and sister january.... I pop into the Works every now and then, have to keep an eye on their craft section! your GS is indeed growing up fast! Helen #2
ReplyDeleteYour GS will soon be sat next to you helping you craft & create Christine, how they grow so fast. I try not to go into the works as there are far too many (I could use that's) amounting to little change from a £20 note.. but sometimes it's irresistible. Tracey #5
ReplyDeleteVery busy desk - and is that a creepy hand slowly inching it's way in? Spooky! Gorgeous lantern! And cute baby too! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! Lindart #29
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, so agree with cards not playing ball and going the way that they should go... prayer helps when I’m stuck but sometimes I’ve gone too far and nin comes into play.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I go back to start again or do a totally different project. Praying for every blessing dear Christine. Your grandee is ultra cute.
Prayer hugs,
