WOYWW #523

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top to the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

The desk.......

.... just sneaking in on the lower left are the 'lilac girls' with their background paper.  After being coloured with water colour pencils at the Crop, I have eventually managed to fussy cut them.  On the other side of the laptop is the next sheet of images - Theme for this swap is Bees!!  Just beyond that you may be able to see the latest stash ...... it wasn't intended, it's just that I needed some more ATC covers and had to make up the amount for post free .... more steampunk flowers and some diecut gold cogs and gears.

We have been out in the garden after all......
.
We managed to clear the centre bed at Tyseley Steam Trains but had to give up as we were soaked.... paddlin' and drippin'!!

Since then we managed a few hours in our own garden.

While PJ potted on his beloved tomatoes I start to clear the side bed.

Once I had a space a little helper came along.....

She didn't stay for long, soon got bored and moved off to the fruit trees....

.... here I am .....

So inbetween watching the showers and heavy rain through the window, I am slowly working my way through my swaps for this month .... more on that later.

Stay warm and dry, be(e) happy and have a good week.

  1. I love it when I'm gardening and the robin comes and picks over the cleared ground! Not much going on here at th moment - whilst we haven't had the rain that the rest of you have had, it's still been quite unsettled. Of course you can use the bee pic, no probs xx

  2. I love anything to do with bees. It is the emblem for our city and is on all the bins and things as you walk around. Of course it was made more noted when it was adopted from the Ariana bombing and folks got bees tattooed on themselves. My contribution was a little gold bee on a chain and some ear rings. We went in search of the bees last year that were all over the city - we spotted most (took us a few days) but didn't venture to the ones that were far out. Got lots of photos and not one with either of us on. Just the bees.
Love how you are doing the garden for the Steam Trains but so sorry you had to do it in the rain. Hope you don't get cold now. It looks as if it was nice when you did your own garden.
    Hugs, Neet 1 xx

  3. The rain has put stop to any outdoor plans this week and I believe it's in till Saturday. Typical when there's lots of holiday laundry to get through plus the extras awaiting my return home. Hope you get some dry days soon & can continue your good work Christine.

  10. We seem to have had non stop rain for nearly 3 days - flood defences up in Shrewsbury! A bit of gardening on a damp day is Ok but these showers have been slightly more than that. Love that the hen is grubbing round for snacks! xxJo

  12. Bees - great theme! I saw some wonderful bee freebies on Pinterest this morning, kind of vintage looking. It has been hard to get gardening done this year with so much rain. The weeds are thriving! LOL! I'm late getting to WOYWW, but on Saturday mornings I have a little time! Have a great week, Lindart #30
