Late posting this week, busy, busy, trying to keep up and failing miserably....
My Desk
I am creating the coins for this month's swap. I have tried out different techniques on each set.
The blue ones use torn paper, the other coins are stamped and watercoloured and, at the back, some green coloured mixed media ATC.
On the right of the desk is my circular paint box.... I bought this package for travelling; this box, a brush and a small bottle of water, makes up my painting outfit. I have a small A5 sketch book which goes with me everywhere.
Short but sweet today, I have to package up the ATCs and start on my cards.... more later.
My thanks to Julia (see tab at top of page) for hosting another get together of deskers.
My Artworks to Inspire and encourage and. . . . a bit of this . . . . and . . . . a bit of that . . . .

The Coins are Rey different aren't they? I rather like them. You are good taking your paints everywhere, it's the one thing I miss doing.

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Christine, I like the coins..I think the torn paper technique is one of my favourites, so useful apart from anything else, when all other ideas flee my head!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm feeling guilty again. I bought some MDF coins and they are still sat there doing nothing. I really don't know why I got them as I could just as easily die cut some card to make them. Oh well guess I'll think of some use for them. Wishing you a happy belated woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteHi Christine. Great little circles there on your desk this week. Love the blue ones! It was so good to meet up there in Devon - I can't believe it was already over two weeks ago!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I love your coins, Christine! Such a lovely idea. As for your little circular paint box, it's simply gorgeous! I love things like that. So compact and neat, just the thing for travelling. I echo Margaret's comment above - it was really good to meet up with you all! Such a treat for someone who rarely gets the opportunity to meet up with any WOYWWers. Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you enjoyed my show pics. I have made excellent progress on the slippers over the weekend because I've gone down with a cold and don't feel much like doing anything except cuddling up on the recliner with the kitties and doing my embroidery! They will soon be finished, just in time for the colder weather. It's not been too bad down here, but then we do live in the balmy climate of the English Riviera, complete with palm trees! Keep warm under your winter duvet!! My latest efforts with the teabags were another failure I'm afraid, so I think I'm going to have to approach it in a completely different way and abandon the bleach altogether. I hate giving up on things!!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW and God bless,

Hi Christine sorry I’m really really late, love your coins ... esp the blue ones with the torn papers on them. I did some bad brusho backgrounds tonight hoping when they dry they look better, often things do. I’ll use them none the less just in diff ways. Two are right colours two are not.
