WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page. Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.
This really is a WOYWW photo. There are more but I don't have the patience to wait for them to download. I have taken them this morning but to get them onto my laptop will take a good deal more time . . . time . . . something that appears to be in really short supply.
The desk . . . .
Sorry about the photo, too early for the sun to rise, although it was the brightness of the snow shining through my curtains that woke me.
Well, the next one has downloaded . . .
My new wallpaper is of the island just up the road from me. It has several trees, bare and sparse, growing on the grassy knoll. I found this photo of the trees in full bloom, yes! not too long now surely! I find that just the thought of Spring cheers me up!!
And another . . . .On the right side of my desk are my printouts for some of this month's ATC swaps . . . . those insects just make me laugh and I hope the recipients enjoy them as much.
Wow! yet another!
These are some printouts ready for half term occupation . . . good ideas are always acceptable in the grandee's household. Apparently these are called Agamographs . . . . no idea how to pronounce it . . . English would stress the second syllable and American, which seems to be more popular nowadays, would stress the first . . . . the choice is yours . . . .
Anyhow, I think the idea is that once coloured it is then folded to make two pictures . . .
Keen eyes will spot the new toy slightly forward, it has had some good use this past week . . . still loving it!
I wish you all a happy WOYWW, have a good week, don't fall over in the snow (if it's down your way!) . . . . . .
Glad the new toy is working out so well Christine. That is a lovely photo - can't wait for Spring either. Stay safe, Sarah #5
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are NOT keen. But I am intrigued... I have a set of stamps+dies that are insects. Now you have me thinking I need to us them on ATCs - and then put the ATC in an art journal;. I am rubbish at swapping them. I ake them, love them, and hate to let them go!
ReplyDeleteAh well...
Happy WOYWW!

I have some tiny ladybugs somewhere that I never have used, they are so cute I must get them out/found.
ReplyDeleteLovely picture of the trees on your screen - can't find the new toy.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

Glad you are getting good use from your new toy! I'm so enjoying seeing the first signs of spring, it really feels like hope coming up this year doesn't it? Definitely hugs all around today, Lisa-Jane #10

Hi . I've never heard of them... have a good week Helen #2
ReplyDeleteLovely pic on your lap top - I can't wait for Spring either. I've never heard of Agamographs - I always learn something new on the desks each week! Luckily we haven't had snow where I am, it always looks very beautiful but I have trouble staying upright even when it's not icy so I'm very thankful.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, stay safe and well,

Christine, what a beautiful photo!! I love spring as well, however in this hot and muggy state that I live in, I am NOT ready for spring because that means summer is next!!! We don't really have a "spring" as such it just skips right to summer! LOL It gets horrible here. I hope your spring will come soon! :) Love the little printouts, especially the ladybug! LOL And your agamographs remind me of childhood and girls doing that at school! Memories! Happy Wednesday to you and stay safe! Felicia #30
ReplyDeleteLovely photo on the laptop - I love Spring too, all that new growth, and pretty flowers. Loving your little insects - they are such fun. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#20)
ReplyDeleteI like the bugs, you’re right, they raise a smile. The thought of those trees blooming is such an encouragement! at his lockdown seems a real burden some days and I’m sure some good spring weather will really help!
ReplyDeleteGlad your having fun with your new machine ~ I'm with you, thoughts, pictures and even embellishments of Spring are bringing me immense joy :) Have fun making your ATC's this week! Love, Karen#28
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, we've been for the vaccination today and it went well, they were very organised and no queues so very relaxed too. I can see you've been busy, always loved making ATCs though don't tend to do them very often now. There's something about an insect in any form, just love them. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x18x
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, yes sunshine and snow delivers the brightest of light early morning. Those print outs will keep the grandees busy over half term, I used many to keep my groups and my own children occupied over half term. I've never heard of agamographs, sounds double the fun. Stay safe & creative Tracey #36
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, that’s a lovely photograph of the trees, I thought they had snow on them first. I know what you mean by agamographs, but I have never heard the word before (or seen it either). Happy WOYWW Angela #12
ReplyDeleteAgamographs were invented by the Israeli kinetic artist Yaacov Agam. Hebrew usually puts the emphasis on the second syllable, so the word is pronounced agAMograph. You can see an exhibition of his work here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD-d3uc7aC8 I've seen advertising hoardings that work on the same principle - vertical strips that move, revealing 2 different images. Quite fascinating! I've never tried making one, though.
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying your new cutting machine.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi x #25
What a lovely picture of spring and like you say it cannot be far away, Great printouts,
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe

I Googled Agamograph, 'Oh it's one of those!'I thought, so watched a video on how to make one. then was going to tell you all about it, but Shoshi's beat me to it! Its good you get the pictures to down load, I think starting from scratch and then painting and the cutting and glueing would be hard for younger children (and adults!) Loving those bugs! (made the picture bigger first)
ReplyDeleteStay Safe-keep on crafting! Happy late WOYWW ((Lyn))#26
I always need good ideas for the granddaughters and I thing Agamographs would fit the bill. We hope to go see them again at the beginning of March.
ReplyDeleteGreat that a new toy is working out fine!
Happy WOYWW!
Stay safe and keep well!
Update on here in Victoria – we are in a snap lockdown again – hopefully only for a few days – but 5k limit, no visitors or gatherings, only leave the house for the 4 special reasons, only essential shops open…
And the rainbow lorikeets are eating our peaches!
