PJ's Birthday! Miss him more as time goes by . . . . I thought it was supposed to get easier . . . .
But . . .
It's Wednesday and a day for meeting up with Friends and one week closer to the Crop . . .
The Desk
In chaos!Not really, I am about to start some more ATCs . . . . Think Springtime and Paris and . . . . wonderful memories . . . .
The cutting board is covered in paint - A4 size - it dried before I had chance to clean it off . . .
The images I am about to use are on the left. I have to cut and colour . .
The water is for my kidneys . . . still flushing them through . . . .An empty biscuit tin has found its way upstairs. This was a present brought back from holiday and much too beautiful to throw away . . . .
The screen picture has been used before but sometimes a word of encouragement . . .
I shall not mention the heat as I am a Winter baby so it's not for me . . . . The weekend looks frightening is all I will say, that and I have been to Africa where they know about heat!!have a good WOYWW day
Oh Christine, I’m sending you the biggest of hugs on this special but sad day - PJ may be smiling down on us from heaven but you must still miss him just as much as the day he left. It’s ok to still feel incredibly sad xxxxx
ReplyDeleteI like the screensaver too, a gentle reminder that we don’t always have to be on the go or justify why we don’t want to do something.
I hate the heat too though we are a bit cooler here on the coast - it must be the Eskimo blood!

Things might get easier with time but I don't think the pain of loss ever goes really. There's always something there and Birthday's are often painful but memories can help to bring a smile. Thank you too for the kind words over at mine too. I'm with you on the weather, give me snow any time which is one of the things we've missed so much as not been able to get away. Take care and stay cool. Happy creative woyww, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteSending a big hug your way. It is understandable you are still grieving. Your screensaver is a good one to remember. Hugs Angela. #13
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are finding today so tough, which is to be expected. Sending big hugs to you. Hope the weekend is at least partway bearable, I am with you in hating it! Take care. Happy WOYWW Helen #3
ReplyDeleteThe saying is it will get easier, I think it depends on who you lose! I know I would be exactly like you, huge hugs, just to let you know we care. You should be in our part of Wales, it's hot, but not as hot as some parts. I hope the weekend will not be as bad as predicted! We are not prepared for overheating! Take care in the heat.
ReplyDeleteI'm late making my visits today...it's been a crazily busy day with sewing today and I still have work lined up for the morning.
ReplyDeleteThese anniversaries are always difficult when they come round....its just cos he was so loved. Looking forward to the crop too.
Hugs,

Sending you gentle hugs Christine đ¤ my cousin told me after Dad that we hurt so much because we loved and were loved so much đ PJ never far ⭐
ReplyDeleteBelated WOYWW đđ¤ gorgeous tin to be reused đ your screensaver is a lovely gentle reminder. Thank you for your messages and I promise I'll be in touch. Sending love, light and hugs Tracy #12 xxxxx
Sending belated hugs for yesterday Christine. That is a gorgeous tin. Hope you manage with the heat OK. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1
ReplyDeleteOh my life I am sooooooo late sitting down at my PC to comment this week - so sorry no idea where the week went but I did get a craft delivery from Kraft Crazy on Thursday so that might account for some of it.
ReplyDeleteIt will get easier as the time goes by and oh so lovely to have wonderful memories that you can turn into ATCs that will certainly help and make you smile with fondness. Love the biscuit tin and the screen picture sentiment.
The heat is doing me in so like you not looking forward to the next few days and have my son's graduation next Wednesday too down in Southampton though a bit cooler there than here in Surrey.

Oh my. Birthdays are hard, for sure. Take care of yourself, keep that water flushing thru, and be gentle with yourself. Enjoy your ATC making and (whispers) stay cool if you can!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW - late AGAIN!

I agree with you about scary weather weekends. I never thought I'd get to dislike the sunshine flooding through our big windows but I have had times this year when I could well have done without it! HOpe you're feeling better now.
