WOYWW #695

It's been a long, long time . . . . . . . .  since I posted . . .

I have been all over the place since we last met . . . . hospitals seeming to be my main point of call!  lol

The desk. . .

lots going on but only in short bursts . . . .

To the left . . .Cards from 'my boys' while I stayed away for awhile.

They sit to the side and make me smile when I think of the boys sitting round the table, crafting . . .
Down almost on the desk . . .

Well, I managed to complete these ATCs but missed the deadline for posting . . .  can't have it all ya know!

To the right . . .

Just a few ideas for October swap cards, the Sympathy one is so I can refill my box . . . .had quite a run on them lately.

and the screen . . .

I managed a day out with Dx, slow and steady as I roll, and we had a wonderful time.  Can't wait for half term.   lol

I have tried out a new hospital, only because the ambulance waiting time was nil, and they seem to be very caring people.  They haven't finished with me yet, but the follow up is amazing, like their equipment and staff.

I am still completing tiny works of art, making cards and updating the Friends of Vintage Trains memberships.

I have managed to keep the back garden under semi control but the front has run away from me again.

I had a couple of weeks with outside company as the pavements were torn up and replaced with tarmac . . . . it's nice and even now for my walker to roll along.  The guys were soooo friendly, helpful and kind.  We even shared 'thank goodness it's Friday' chocolates, which caused much amusement and joking.  Turns out they are from eastern Europe but have brought and, in the case of Leon, kept their work ethic.  They rolled up each morning about 07.30hrs, started work and kept working all day till about 16.00hrs or that particular part of the job was done.  They staggered their lunch breaks, worked through the rain, shared the jobs and still remained fun.  Twas a great piece of work and a great group of guys . . . . miss them now they've gone. . . . . but saving on the chocolates!!

Now for the good news . . .

I am hoping to attend the crop!

I haven't said anything about coming as it was dependant on so many things and then just as I am ready to book the train tickets . . . . . . !

But I have had a friend step in so Christine WILL be coming . . . .

I am sorry to leave it so late but I hope/know you will understand when we meet.  My friend likes to craft and do things so, as she will be staying, I am hoping she will have a very interesting day . . ..  I know she will!

That's it then.

All my catchup posts to do now, while I am still feeling well enough!!  ha! ha1  Those new doctors would not like to hear me saying that . . .

here's a better photo than the screen . . . .

I like the Bull's flowers and just love that boy!

  7. So pleased you will be there on Saturday.
Glad the hospital visits are pleasant enough with the amount of care you get. It makes such a difference.
Sorry you have had a few losses recently. I know how it feels, I lost my bestie 21st June, and three close friends within the two months following.
Glad you had a good time brewing up for the workers.
    Hugs Neet 4 xx
