OK.... I admit it!
I really only intended to buy the stamps that I 'needed' when I went to the Motorcycle Museum ..... honestly!
Being a small sort of Papercraft Fair and only held every couple of months, I thought I would be able to keep my hands in my pockets.....FAILED ...... miserably as you can see in the following photo of my desk.
The stamps on the left of the photo were the text ones I wanted ..... then I remembered that the ones on the right would be perfect for ....... you know when ......
The bits in the middle were such a bargain ...... honestly!
Surprising what you can find in an hour and a half ......
So that's my desk for this week, more things to play with.
I did manage to complete a few more of the cards from the workshop, (posting on my Cardius Bloggus Blog) but will have to wait to complete the last one until I have one more item!
Out of interest ... the big number stamp is for a friend's birthday: I have already removed the 'Christmas' bit, hope to be able to find a small 'Birthday' stamp to fit in the space. My writing is not good!
I hope to visit a few more desks this week than last week, it may be late but .....
My Artworks to Inspire and encourage and. . . . a bit of this . . . . and . . . . a bit of that . . . .

June Swap
I found some delicious pictures to use for my swap this month. I printed them out on best quality printing and card, then fussy cut all round each image. I covered some packaging with decoupage paper bought from The Works a long time ago and added my image to the centre of each card.

I added a strip of ribbon to the left hand side of this card with a metal brad to the top left corner.
I received the following cards:

Beautifully stamped, with silvered wings.

I added a strip of ribbon to the left hand side of this card with a metal brad to the top left corner.
To the righthand side of this card, I added a piece of ribbon which I stamped with steampunk image. I added a brass brad to this card.
I added some pretty fawn ribbon down the right side of this card and a brass gear.
Once again I added sentiments from the Tim Holtz word pad.
I received the following cards:

Beautifully stamped, with silvered wings.
Very pretty flowers matted onto silver then onto dark card.
Very pretty stamping and colouring matted onto black card.
Thank you Margaret for a lovely selection of cards.

Thank you to all my visitors last week, I didn't manage to visit everyone .... over several days I think I managed most - forgive me if I didn't get to you.
Please, please, do not ask me where the month of June went ....at this rate it will be Autumn before I can turn round!! lol
I have managed a bit of play this week, between gardening, stitching etc! I popped in to the craft room and played around with a sponge and some of the paints I brought back from Crafty Expressions.
I started by using some small pieces of circular foam, I think it came inside my printer packaging but don't quote me!

I used them with Cosmic Shimmer Chalk Cloud Blending Inks to add circles to a piece of white paper, adding a bit of makeup foam stamping as well. I moved onto adding some circles to the elastic band stamped papers. Very impressed yet again - will be better when I have actually used them!!
Using some of the card left over from my working days and a large bath sponge I dabbed away with some Shimmer Paint. ..... they are a bit darker than I thought, so may have to add a touch of gesso. I think I was too heavy handed so will try this again but with either a lighter touch or a piece of natural sponge.
Not quite sure what I will use them for just yet although I can see that C word hanging around!
That's it for me this week, busy workdesk but not much in the way of work .....
(I see Blogger is playing up again ...... sorry about the light blue print, don't know where that came from.)

First off .... my apologies to everyone for not managing to visit many desks last week. We have been very busy since we arrived back from a fab workshop with Julie ..... but tomorrow .... R & R! yeah!
My various escapades will be posted across my three Blogs......
But for today we have a desk to look at .....
one desk with....
?what? on top?
One acrylic block and three elastic bands resting on a large piece of paper.
I have just finished experimenting with a new technique .... one for my June card swap .... actual swap card will be posted on Cardius Bloggus Blog later.

The technique is 'Elastic Band' - wrap elastic bands round the block and use as a stamp to print .... simples!
I used pink, red and two shades of blue DI and one grey as a second colour.
I did try to finish a card so I could show you all the end result so ...... ta dah!

Pretty impressive huh!?!
so that's my desk for today ..... and I can assure you that I will be visiting other desks, and catching up, over the next few days.
Have a good week, catch you all later ......

What a week we are having!
I don't cope with the heat very well so have spent most of my time indoors with curtains drawn!
Today is different .......
I have taken this bag and am attending a workshop ...... my very first one!!
I am at Creative Expressions' HQ, learning to make masculine cards.
As you can imagine, working with steam engines, I need a fair few male cards ..... like yesterday! When I saw this workshop hosted by Julie Watts, I knew that this was one I did need to book up. PJ is being the chauffeur again so dinner's on me I guess .....
I will try to get round to visit desks tomorrow and there will definitely be a post all about the trip!
Now, I have water, fan, sandwich, cutter boards, scissors, glue - guess that's it as there is a Greggs nearby .......
Have a good day ....

May Themed Swap
The style for this month is Spring Flowers.
I love this stamp and clear embossed it before using watercolours to finish it. I'm afraid I had posted the card before I realised that I photographed it before adding the sentiment. Duh!
I didn't receive a card back........

I had just pulled out some components to make an ATC for this month's swap when I remembered that tomorrow is WEDNESDAY!!!
While I am here in the craft room I will write up tomorrow's post and schedule it ....I might just get to spend a bit more time visiting!!
So this is the desk tonight ......
I am about to make an ATC with a 'Rose' theme. I have just finished my card so I am in a 'Blue Roses' mood hence the blue spotted background, white roses, ribbon with embroidered blue roses and some feathers ...... it may change!!!
I would like to say again a big thank you to Julia and all the girls that swapped Anniversary ATCs with me, loved them all. Here's the link - https://atcwannabee.blogspot.co.uk/2017/06/woyww-atcs-8th-anniversary.html - for the full write up.
I'd like to mention that my medications have been 'messed around' with for about three months and I have been on the floor. Life has been truly difficult and may continue to be so because as I told the Dr on Monday - he has taken away my retirement and given me old age. I can well understand how so many old folks sleep their life away ......
Today I went back to my old stuff and, even after one day, I feel so much better. I shall continue for about another week and then go back to his medication, in the hope that my little experiment has not interfered with my blood test results!!
Anyhows I just wanted to let you know why my posts have been all over the place, short and terse at times, at other times none existent. I hope to catch up over the next few days.
By the time this is published I shall be fast asleep - I hope - but as soon as I am up and focused (coffee drunk!!) I shall be visiting as many desks as I can fit in before Little Soldier comes.
Look forward to checking in later ......
