Sixteen days to go to 2016 Crop!!

A full desk here today!

I am in the middle of making some Steampunk ATCs.  I have been using the Gelli plate to make some background sheets and these are the leftovers.  I used the main sheet to make an ATC card but have stamped some steampunk flowers onto the leftover sheets.  I have embossed some of the flowers and will fussy cut them to use at a later date.  My usual state of desk disarray but I'm having a great time!

I learnt a new skill yesterday at CRUNCH, Quilling.
I did enjoy my lesson, my teacher was very patient with me but today I am suffering with my hands.  Quilling is very fiddly work, simple to do with amazing results, and certainly kept me quiet.  I hope to do/make lots more designs and add them to some ATCs.

That's my week then so catch you all later .....  have a good week.

  2. Hi Christine, you must let us see the ATCs when completed. They are some of my favourite stamps. Happy crafty woyww, Angela x 19

  5. great atcs in the making! I've never tried quilling, it looks great but I get the impression it's a bit fiddly.. not good if you're all fingers and thumbs! Helen #2

  6. I think quilling has the most beautiful effect but I'm not sure my fat fingers could cope with the fiddliness of it all! Your steampunk atcs sound fun, I'd have liked to have seen a close up of them :-D

  7. Still haven't yet tried using a gelli plate - but it's on Christmas list - we'll see what happens! It looks like a lot of fun, and you've used some awesome colors! I have never tried Quilling either! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #47

  8. Hi Christine. What a wonderfully busy desk - it looks like you are having SO much fun there. Glad you enjoyed the quilling. My elder daughter loves it, too, but I confess it isn't for me - but I LOVE the results!
    Enjoy your playing...
    Take care. God bless.

  9. I love Steampunk so am interested to see what your atc's turn out like. Hope you show them in detail for us at a later date.
I don't think I have ever tried quilling and I don't think I will now as my hands seize up quite easily these days and it is quite painful trying to get them straight again. Can image quilling would aggravate it. Look forward to seeing yours though.

  10. I adore the colors you used! I'm very interested in the gelli plate technique, but haven't gotten around to doing it. My mom has and I loved her pieces done with it. Have a great week! ~Heather~ WOYWW #51
