'Where is the year going to?' is a question I hear lots of times in Blogland. Well, I'm sorry .... I don't have the answer .... I don't know either but it sure is going somewhere .... and fast!
Which leads me here .... Blogging another WOYWWednesday with a photo of my current desk.
I have some ATC bases to the left, some waterbrushes, paints case and a few stamps. Along the top of the photo you can see some completed paintings drying. I am using some of my Stamping Up! stamps (courtesy of Fiona - Staring at the Sea) and some of my winnings from Creative Stamping.
I am hoping that I will complete enough images to make some 'stash' cards.
I started painting these little artworks last week, outside in the evening sunlight. Sooooo relaxing.....
We were expecting a thunderstorm overnight, I had the headache but no rain or thunder has appeared ...... I should be grateful but we badly need the rain and the coolness that it brings.... I do anyways! lol
I have cleared a few more boxes from my craft room but I could not for the life of me show you the space they left, I think that the remaining boxes do not climb up the wall quite so high. I have to keep working on this, hopefully the bathroom will be finished and I am keeping my fingers crossed that the guys coming in to complete it will be able to complete the rest of the refurb ..... they think it's just bathroom and kitchen ..... shouldn't advertise themselves as 'Handyman'.
I did visit a great post which made me think that maybe we are being shortchanged over here with 'Mr Whippy' ..... I want to TASTE these......
Little Soldier has been having a good time, trying to keep him out of the sun and entertained had stretched us a bit, but we've managed so far .....
We had a great time out in the Park......
Grandad was encouraged to join in......
We did manage to get Little Soldier to sit for five minutes and cool down a bit
Morning Christine. Those paintings are gorgeous. Well done - they will be lovely card fronts. Phew - keeping going in that sun shine looked like hard work!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

I love painting outside in the evening as well - too hot during the day! Little Soldier looks a bit flushed from all that climbing, bless him! Love your painted cards - it's not easy to paint that small! Enjoy your week! zsuzsa #18

That little boy is growing like a weed! I think I could have been encouraged to try that slide out, how fab! I love your ATCs, your painting makes them look like postcards. When I zoomed in, I noticed a teeny bottle of Scotch tucked under the pile....fortitude, I expect. Or more likely an emptied bottle being used for some arty purpose, I know. I just like the images it conjures!!
ReplyDeletethe thunder and lightening woke me just before 2am and kept me awake for an hour.... I agree about the year flashing by... and how big Little Soldier is growing! Helen #7
ReplyDeleteThe watercolours are fab Christine, if I stamped at all (never going to happen!) I think I'd go for SU products too, I like the style very much. That slide looks great - it's amazing how much energy little boys have huh?!

Well, hope your bathroom and other work goes better than ours did. But then that is another story and not for publication on here.
ReplyDeleteJust enjoy your time with your little soldier, he will be grown up before you know it.
Hugs, Neet xx
Love the photos from the park. And your workspace looks good with your crafting. Have a good week and thanks for sharing. Hazel WOYWW 12 x
ReplyDeleteNow it's funny you should say that when you clear some stuff away there still doesn't seem to be a space. I think someone pops something else in there when we're not looking! Thanks for the visit to mine and have a great WOYWW, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteWow! What an awesome slide! I love your water coloring!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Sorry I'm late to return your visit. I had to put away my quilts yesterday to do several urgently needed sewing jobs...i shortened an evening dress made 3 School Memory bears and shorten the sleeves on a gents suit jacket all left to the last minute and all needed for today! Thankfully I got it all done and can now catch up with my blogs.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun time at the park....what a slide!
