Not a very good photo I'm afraid.... bit murky outside and yesterday was even worse!

The rain oveflowed the guttering, again, and I really felt down. Another email of complaint went off to Adams Askey but I doubt whether I'll hear anything, they just don't seem to want to know. At least it didn't come through into my lounge this time, I think the ceiling paper contained the water.
Onto brighter thoughts .......
My desk!
I am about to diecut some dressmaker dummies for a member of CRUNCH. We hope to give the diecuts some quilled dresses ......
Do not think for a moment that the desk has been tidied up ...... all the detritus has been moved to the chair as I thought I was getting out my Grand Calibur but then remembered that PJ had given me a Prizm. My desk is set up for when I get five minutes, which wont be today ......
Short but sweet post today.
Thank you for all the tips and comments last week. I have lots of food for thought but here's a heads up ...... changes are afoot!
Hi Christine, I must admit that I don't like the rain either. Our guttering is not in the best state of repair. I do hope that you don't get any water in the house. What a dinky die cutting machine; sometimes they are a bit easier aren't they? Happy WOYWW Sarah #18
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, Oh how awful for you, especially that they are ignoring the problem. Guttering can be a real nightmare, we have some just under the roof that has something growing in it, so the water does cascade off onto the kitchen roof below. Trouble is, it's impossible to get at without scaffolding all round the houes, but it would be, wouldn't it? Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX
ReplyDeleteFood for thought sounds like big adventures ahead to me! You're a go getting sort of person so I wait with interest to see what you'll be doing, lol!! How annoying is that gutter problem? Even more so is the attitude of the company, it's just not on. I'm getting cross on your behalf here......

Wow - that's a LOT of rain! Time to look for someone else or report these guys to an ombudsman of some sort! At least you are all ready to cut those dies when the moment comes! Have a great week, thanks for sharing! Lindart #31
ReplyDeleteLots of rain you have been having I am sorry you have been having problems with the gutters not coping with the rain... you wonder how some company's exist with this attitude to customers...I hope they get back to you soon... May #10
ReplyDeletehope you can get your guttering sorted soon, that is such a pain! Helen #1
ReplyDeleteThis is the good thing about photographing the desk as no-one needs to see all the other stuff surrounding it Lol! Happy woyww, Angela x14x
ReplyDeleteall this rain is depressing, it has eased off here and autumn is peaking through - thank goodness! I had a broken gutter a few years ago and it was like a waterfall over the front door! I hope yours is sorted out soon. Thanks for sharing your photos #24 Lyns xx
ReplyDeleteA Prizm...nice. I must say anything that does the job that is small enough to prevent a massive tidy up is definitely a good thing to me! AM so sorry that you're not getting satisfaction from the builder people...its so frustrating and so awful to have to resort to threats just to get decent service. And meanwhile the water is insidious and damaging. Don't give up!
ReplyDeleteGood luck sitting down to craft one day soon! So sorry for the woes of building faults. I'd suggest contacting the better business bureau or the consumer advocate of your local TV network to get positive action!
