Nearly missed posting this morning........
We have so much to do, why is Retirement so busy?
I haven't been able to do much crafting, what with unpacking, washing all the dirties (how can one get so much in just a week!), shopping to restock the pantry shelves and, of course, doing our Volunteer work.... but here I am.....
.... but I'm afraid it's an empty desk.
Yes! I know! How did that happen? I have promised myself I will clear the detritus round the edges and you can't see how much detritus there is until you clear the detritus in the centre!!!
Clever eh!
Not really..... but has to be done.
The dieset peeping out on the right just HAS to be used this week - one of my swaps is for a card in motion and this die is for a pop up card.... needless to say it was bought and filed but never used!
Top right has a stack of butterfly dies and stamps which I purloined off PJ several months ago but STILL they sit there .... I am going to explore those as well and then give them back .... I am .... honestly....
I am also getting into Crop mode so at some point this week the desk will be filled with Christmas stash, it's still pilled up on the floor behind my desk.... waiting ..... and waiting ...
.... but I will start .... sometime ....
You all have a good week and I'll come visiting later .... promise.
My Artworks to Inspire and encourage and. . . . a bit of this . . . . and . . . . a bit of that . . . .

Oh I understand completely! I don't where the days have gone since we moved here and retired...blimey, they're whipping past like crazy. The old thing of 'not having time to work' is so true! Looking forward to seeing you at the Crop, I'm going to bring some yarn and a crochet hook but don't know if much crafting will be done :-D

Morning Christine. Golly - I thought that I was a Christmasoholic... love ALL your labelled Christmas boxes! Looking forward to Saturday - ATCs not yet made, only started, but was in Asda this morning to shop for step inside tomorrow and found the chicken tonight honey and mustard on spec! Well, I ask you - why make my own sauce.... not when it was on spec!!!!!
ReplyDeleteQuite agree about retirement though. Just gets busier the older I get.
Take care. Travel safely. God bless.

That's a good solution to make some desk space! I'm not working at the moment either but I still find myself incredibly busy all the time, which makes me wonder when did I find time to do anything when I was working 10-12 hours a day? I guess, I was single then and had nothing else to do LOL! Enjoy your week, Christine! zsuzsa #13
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking groovi plates and parchment; either that or tags, bits, inks and stickers. I'm sure we will be ignoring most of what we bring lol. see you Saturday. Sarah #31
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to retiring one day... won't be any time soon, but I look forward to filling my days with something other than work!! Have a great time at the crop. Helen #1
ReplyDeleteWow. Not too often we see a perfectly clean desk like yours! All ready for some craftiness if you ask me! Have fun with your new die-set! And have fun at the crop! Have a great week, and thanks for sharing! Lindart #29
ReplyDeleteI agree sometimes I feel I have to return to work for a rest... I retired last year and I have not stopped... Looking forward to your Christmas makes.... May #19
ReplyDeleteHi Christine. I think because people know you're not working they think you have more time on your hands and I think it's the opposite because I am always busy. Have a very happy woyww and enjoy your crafting, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteHappy cropping. I've heard that about retirement from my parents. ;-)

Retirement what is that a woman never retires and the older we get the faster the days go. Hope you have an enjoyable weekend at the crop. Anickoana #5
ReplyDeleteI think I'm in empty desk mode too, although I obviously didn't express myself too well, I'm not really missing my son, I am rather enjoying my freedom! Thanks for the visit BJ#3
