WOYWW #437

Our weekly meetup of show & tell workdesks ...... love this little getogether every week..... in the comfort of our own homes ..... come and join us ..... our Hostess Julia (deets at the top of the page) won't mind - I'm sure she'd say 'more the merrier' so come on in .....

For Desk read Dumping Ground ...... well, it isn't really.
The pile to the left of the desk is going to be sorted and a lot binned - there are things there that I will never do, definitely not WIP more like BTL(Bin The Lot)!!
To the right is a pile of papers given away free with magazines and an idea for an O for Owl ATC.  Moving on to the right of that are completed ATCs ready to be labelled and posted.  Creeping in at the top are a few envelopes I have been trialling, don't know if I prefer these envelopes or the clear plastic ones ..... think I'll think a bit longer on that subject.

For those that are interested - the scaffolders did not turn up last week, Adams Askey didn't give them the correct telephone number!?!?!?!!
They hope to come this Thursday and then AA will, not holding my breath, come on Friday.
Maybe then this sight will be gone .......
....... and the water will flow into the drains!

Thank you to all my visitors last week and for all the desk shares, some of the things you lot get up to ......well!

  2. I like a BTL pile, it feels as if you're achieveing the 'sorted' goal! Nice pile of ATCS. I'm the same about the envelope/bag debate. I noodled for ages over it. When you've made your decision, I'll tell what I chose and why, dont want to unduly influence you!

  3. Love the BTL must remember that one. It will catch on I am sure, certainly will remind me of you when I use it.
Meant to say at the Crop, you remind me so much of a friend I have had for years, Larraine. Sometimes I caught a glimpse of you and facially you reminded me of her but I think most of all it was your stature and the way you moved. She is lovely by the way.

  4. Blooming heck, those builders are taking the mick - I don't blame you for being so angry, I'd be too. Let's hope that they finally manage to get it right this time. I like BTL - have done that a lot recently, all those scraps I was going to so 'something; with? All gone and it feels great!

  6. Hope you get your roof problem sorted soon, Christine. It's really frustrating being messed about by people like this, isn't it! Lol at BTL - that's how I've been feeling a bit lately! Thank you for your visit - Margaret and I had a great time. It would be fantastic if you looked us up next time you are down in our area!! I get to see so few people. My apple butter has turned out really well - thick and dark and ever-so-tasty - and all sugar free! It's just apples and spices. The dough is in the airing cupboard as I write this, and I'll make up the cinnamon twist bread later this p.m.

    Happy WOYWW,

  16. Love the BTL comment - I have a pile like that but am still trying to come to terms with the fact it is no longer a 'will do one day' pile!
Hope you get your roof problems sorted soon, and thanks for stopping by my blog earlier,

  17. I could have sworn I'd left a message on your blog, Christine, but now I see, I haven't! Be careful what you throw out! I always end up throwing things away which then I need and spend hours looking for it before I remember throwing it away! Thanks for visiting earlier! Hope to see you again on Wednesday! zsuzsa #22

  18. Hi Christine-sorry I'm so late! What with working, our "fakesgiving" (late Thanksgiving!) and visiting with DD there just isn't enough time in the day! You are so organized! Everything in nice piles, all ready to go, will we get to see ATCs next week? I hope your guy shows up, we've been having the same problem trying to get a leak fixed on the roof, people say they will come and never show up. What a way to run a business!
