Chaos reigns round here! We had a lovely weekend at Tyseley Trains (more to follow later) but recovery has been slow!!
My desk sortof proves it.......
Above EVERYTHING ELSE is my to do list book - she who must be obeyed today book.
I am sooooo behind with everything, thank you messages, photo write ups, Blog, you name it and I must be behind in it!! lol
On my desk, the selection of stamps is being sorted for the half made coins at the top of the photo - by the paints, under the printed images ....... I hope you get the picture!
Open Days were the best ever!!! We celebrated in style - here's just a few ideas ......
the Carousel (shown in action on the opening credits to TV programmed Vanity Fair).
Classic Cars
Miniature Railway (it is there!)
Traction Engines and Steam Organ
Children's rides, Candyfloss etc.
and of course .......
Steam Locomotive Engines........
For the engine buffs - there were four Castles and 2 Panniers along with various vintage equipment.
It was a superb weekend and, hopefully, a sign of things to come ......
Have a good week and I hope to visit later ........
Happy WOYWW xx Jan (18)
ReplyDeleteHi Chris, you've quite succinctly summed up how things are here too ... behind with everything! I'm still wondering how I managed to get my post up before noon today!!! The Open Day looks wonderful - love a carousel and himself loves nothing better than steam trains. Have a wonderful week. Here's hoping you catch up on some of your 'to-do' list, if not all. Hugs, Elizabeth x #17

What a superb array of photos from your weekend - so glad it was a success and the weather looks great. How wonderful that you had the Vanity Fair Carousel. I can tell you a funny story of me and a Carousel when I next meet up with you.
ReplyDeleteHope you soon recover from all the work you did - how did the lavender bags go?
Hugs, Neet 7 xx
Your weekend must have been a lovely one, judging by your pics. I have a passion for steam trains so I really appreciate that one in particular.

ReplyDeleteHi Christine. I know you are both exhausted after last weekend - but what a wonderful post! Mind you, I am a bit biased, living here so near all those steam trains in Wales; having the Victorian Extravaganza which brings all those sorts of things... It sounds like a wonderful time. Wish I could have been there. Meanwhile, I'm sure your to-do list will have shrunk a little...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.
