WOYWW #491

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top to the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

What a week just flew by!!!
We had a Mini WOYWW Meet up, trip out with GSNo1, lots of ATCs made and received, 'Doctor's Outfit' cut out ready to stitch......

First off .... here's my desk....
The start of a new swap and the Theme is ...... easy to guess this week!

PJ and I went to Sarah's for a Mini WOYWW last Sunday and had a blast (report is here).  The drive up (across? geography is not me) was beautiful, this country of England is gorgeous in Autumn with so many shades on the trees to look at.  Sarah's Shed was warm and welcoming, especially when she brought out the gateau!!
We had a cup of coffee to go with it and a quick chat and emptying of bags and we were away ..... the time just flew past and soon we were on our way home, cheered on by the beauty of a rainbow.
I was so busy admiring it, I nearly forgot to take a photo!!

Last week's Theme was What's On Your Bucket List - I entered this without thinking it through ...... I knew one item and then realised I don't have a Bucket List!!
After much thinking about what and where I would do and go if I had the chance (remembering I have to illustrate the idea) I settled for the following......

I want to watch England play at Edgbaston..... I know that I live down the road but ......
I want to go to the Edinburgh Tattoo .... well done if you worked this out, lots guessed for Scotland.
I want to go to Disneyland Paris.... I go to Paris frequently but to Disneyland and Cinderella - not yet!
I really want to go on a cruise to the Norwegian Fjord to see the Northern Lights .... we are saving our pennies ....

  2. I'd love to see the Norwegian Fjords too - sounds like a WOYWW cruise might have to be organised!! What a lovely time you had at Sarah's - I think a mini-meet up is a great idea. Nice to see that Peter is continuing with his train model too :-D

What great little ATC's Christine I must start creating some soon, not made one for 12 months now. I see you have more in the pipe line.

  9. Sad to say I don't have a bucket list either (you didn't at one time is what I mean). Maybe I should have one so I need to get thinking.
Glad you had a good time at Sarah's maybe next time I will make it. Thanks for the lovely words in your comment, hope the new tablets (started new ones tonight and ditched the others) work in a better way. Thank goodness for a decent GP.

  10. Christine, how on earth have you put up with that itching for three years. A week and I was demented. It must have been horrific.

  12. Oh man, I love a colourful anything, so a swap like that would be right even for me! Still grinning at your meet up, what a fab way to spend the day. And gateau too. Can’t fail! I don’t think I have a bucket list, but now you mention a couple of things......

  13. There’s nothing like a fabby cake to get a great meet-up going! What fun you must have had. I am very envious! Love your bucket list ideas and the ATCs. I went to the Edinburgh tattoo many years ago with a school friend - her dad was in the army and was on the organising crew for it so we got prime seats. Thank you for your visit - you are right about the support garments people - someone needs sorting out! I eventually got my first pair and they are fine, so I am now awaiting the arrival of the final 2 pairs. As for my pattern - I have designed my own knitting patterns for years and some have been more successful than others (hence my penchant for unravelling lol!)

    Happy belated WOYWW,
