What a day, or should I say days! So much rain, hope it gives over before the weekend.
My desk today is project daft .......
Starting from the left you can see some polystyrene packaging 'sticks' ready to make some marks - unpacking a chicken house means that there is some recycling.
The flower catalogue is ready so that I can order the bulbs for Tyseley Station. On the right hand side of the laptop are some wallpaper samples cut ready to use as backgrounds, diecuts etc. (thinking the C time here!)
I have managed to make some Welly Cuffs, muddy days are forecast! I used some odd bits of wool but I am going for comfort not looks....
Hopefully I can get a lot of sorting done inside the house this week but only time will tell, in the meantime.... craft on dear friends, craft on.
My thanks to Julia (see tab at top of page) for hosting another get together of deskers.

The Welly Cuffs look great, even if you didn't go for looks! Lovely colours. It's sunny around the Midlands now - I've got the washing hanging outside, but I have to keep an eye out for showers! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #17

ReplyDeleteHI Christine, I am so impressed you made the cuffs for those boots and the stripes go with the pattern so, to me it looks very neat :) ~Stacy #21
ReplyDeleteGreat welly cuffs - now I think maybe I could adapt my twiddle mitt pattern and add a few extras to some cuffs!!! See you in June. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteLove the wellington tops, smart and dry :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a lot of heavy rain last night but the sun is shining today so that's good. We've had above season temps for a few weeks but I think the fall temps will be arriving next Thursday.
ReplyDeleteLove your Wellie cuffs. I wish I could make some. Thanks for the visit.

I love your Welly Cuffs - I wish I were that talented! My suggestion for finding time to sort is to set the timer - 30 minutes and you are DONE. Then do it again the next day or later if you feel the need, but no more than 30 minutes! I also like listening to my Audiobook while cleaning/sorting, a very nice distraction! Have a great week, and thanks for your visit to mine, Lindart #23
ReplyDeleteDo you know Christine I've never owned gumboots, I'm fasting praying for repentance, revival and rain for month of Oct like other Christians in Oz, we really need it up here in North of NSW in severe drought and bad fires too.
ReplyDeleteGumboot cuffs look great..and share pickies of chickens please.
Sorry VERY late calling.. Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.

Love your wellie cuffs, Christine - competing with my slippers lol! I look forward to seeing the marks you make with the polystyrene. I love this sort of recycling! Thank you for your comment and I'm sorry to be so long replying - it's been a busy week and I have got quite behind, one way and another. It was sooo great seeing you and PJ and Margaret - what fun we had! And by all means "lift" my photos! I'm glad you like my slippers, which are progressing quite well again. Thank you for your commiserations re the Klingons at the DWP. I'm really fed up with them and could do without all the added stress in my life that they have been causing, I can tell you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and happy very belated WOYWW,
