Believe it or not I am trying to diecut some Christmas trees!
I attended the Papercraft Show on Saturday and now, one from there + one from last year's show + one from the works, I possess three tree dies!!!
These are perfect for one of my swaps so I have started ..... notice the word 'started'.Another purchase (not from the show!) on Saturday was some new boots.
I can't even remember when I bought my present boots, I think I may have been in paid employment!!!
My new ones are beautiful!
They are not to everyone's taste but something I have always wanted to own since Doc Martin's made an appearance in England.
Thanks to DDN, Birthday and Christmas, I am now the proud possessor of these! They are soooooo comfortable.
Love them to bits.
I have an update on the teddies, six teddies completed and three in the process of being dressed.
All this has been going on against a background of Doctor's, Clinic and Hospital. I think that, between us, PJ and I are keeping the NHS in business.
The upshot is that PJ may have Diabetes (Type 2), no-one will confirm this but we are hopeful this will change tomorrow when we are back at the Hospital.
I was bluelighted into Hospital on Sunday with suspected heart trouble. I have been attending OutPatients, various clinics, trying to sort out exactly what is going on. I understand that the consensus of opinion is that the main problem is my heart ..... I guess it's just too big and too full of love! lol
I have to laugh about this, it's my nature, I just try to carry on, putting my trust in Jesus (cos He's the only one who really knows what's going on). I am having a Heart Monitor fitted on 6th December but until then I am trying to be gentle with the old thing..... aerobic exercise has been crossed of my list!
In lieu of all this, my Blog, my swaps and craft work is very intermittent.... not intentional. I have hopes that Father Christmas will be kind and send me an ipad (or similar) so that I can keep up to date better. Apparently he is looking into it!!!
Food for thought:
How do you make holy water? Boil the hell out of it!!
What do you call a dinosaur with an extensive vocabulary? A thesaurus.
Hi Christine - oh my - what a week!! I thought it was my John who had kept the NHS in business, but you are certainly doing your bit! Well done on the teddies - keep plodding on, you are nearly there with them. I'm just in awe - never could knit that fast! The tree dies are great - hope the project comes together. Trust all goes well at the hospital
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

PS. I don't really have all that much energy... I keep falling asleep at the drop of a hat! Then when I wake up I plod on a bit further...
Oh Christine, what a week you've both had - I'm so sorry you were rushed into hospital like that. The best thing that I can say is that at least you know there's a problem now and it can be dealt with. Gordon had a quad bypass 12 years ago and he's been wonderful since then. If he hadn't had it, then goodness knows what would have happened. Keep smiling gal xx
ReplyDeleteAnd I have serious boot envy, OMG those DMs are gorgeous!! Are they quite wide fitting and where did you get them from? I may have to succumb.....you enabler you!
Hugs LLJ 7 xxx
Funny jokes, Christine - and this time I understand them LOL - unlike last time! Glad that you've kept your sense of humour despite these health scares - but what else can we do, right? Hopefully it's nothing serious with your heart and even if PJ has T2 diabetes, it's very much reversible with some simple changes in lifestyle - simple doesn't mean easy of course! I sometimes wonder whether I'm going down that path too but I'm trying to keep out of trouble - discipline is not my virtue! Cute little bears and I do like your funky Doc Martins! Enjoy! zsuzsa #20
ReplyDeleteLove the dies, they will make great cards and the boots and teddies too....well especially the boots. Hope your health problems get sorted but pleased to see you've kept your sense of humour. Have a lovely creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x15x
ReplyDeletethe tree dies are gorgeous, and I am sure you will make some beautiful cards with them. So sorry you had to be rushed into hospital, and I hope the monitor gets to the bottom of things. Love the boots! you funky thing you! take it easy and keep smiling - which you seem to be doing! hugs. Helen #2
ReplyDeleteThose tree dies really are wonderful, there's something about tree's they just radiate energy. You have a good selection now to carry on with your swaps etc. Sorry to hear about PJ & even more to hear about you Christine, i'm keeping everything crossed for positive results from the heart monitor, I hope they find out what ails you and can fix it quick. We are all sending positive vibes to Santa, now be a good girl and i'm sure you will get that i-pad for Christmas. Happy WoywW Tracey #4
ReplyDeleteOh Christina, I do hope they get to the bottom of things, both for you and for PJ. Gentle hugs and prayers all round. Love the new boots and I hope that Santa brings you the iPad you wish for. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah #8
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, sending love and hoping the medical problems are sorted soon, and are not too serious. I agree that keeping a sense of humour through it all is the only way to go. I was diagnosed as a type 2 a couple of years ago, and it stays under control with tablets, Metformin, so Hubby should be fine. Love the dies, great finds. I'll be going to the next show at the MM, couldn't make this one as wasn't well enough. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #18 X
ReplyDeleteLove the boots!
ReplyDeleteOh I dont like the sound of Type 2 and Blue Lighting. How scarey for you Christine, I hope that taking it a little easier and cutting out all that aerobic activity (!!) will help for now...the monitoring will certainly help ‘them’ get a better understanding. Please keep away from snotty colds and viruses too. As for poor PJ, well, it’s not fair!! SO the fact that you’re cutting anything is amazing, I think I’d have been scared into an armchair! Still, gotta give those lovely new boots a good breaking in, huh!
ReplyDeleteOh Christine, so sorry to hear about your health issues, both you and PJ. I hope neither will prove too problematic. Tell PJ a whole-food plant based diet is the best thing for Type II Diabetes!! I know what a worry heart problems can be, having had some scares myself. Lots of medical advances have been made, though, and some good meds available these days. I luuurve the boots... I saw a pair of silver hologram Raw boots once and couldn't afford them - always regretted not going into debt for them! When I got ME, I gave away my walking boots, which was a shame because they were mega comfortable. Great that you got to a craft show and got some new dies. I'm about to search the Internet for some new ones myself because my card stash is down to zero and it's time for another card factory methinks. I've been getting a lot of brilliant inspiration from Jennifer McGuire on Youtube, she's great.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit, and so glad you like the Tudor gown! Making good progress on the sleeves now. Less than a fortnight to go before it has to be finished! I'm glad you both enjoyed the pic of my hubby relegated to the floor in favour of Ruby on his chair!
Hope all goes well for you both. Enjoy the rest of the week.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #26
Thanks for the visit to my blog, and I'm sorry to read you've not been feeling your best. Hopefully better days are ahead for you and I'm glad you have a new tablet to enjoy! Take care!
