WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page. Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.
Today's desk has the remnants of yesterday's work, I have been sorting out some rubber stamps.
These were originally roller stamps, very old as you can tell, but I have removed them and now, added some Cling-a-Ling and turned them into border stamps I can use!!
That's it for this week, short but sweet.
I have a busy few days ahead as there are arrangements to be made for the removal of the chickens to the Chicken Hotel for a week. I may even clean and clear the ranch out while they're away . . . . weather dependant of course!
Chickens! I miss having them! Not practical here but they were fun. We had one called Agatha who used to go missing (and turn up in others’ strawberry patches) and another pair called Brainless and Aimless. Aimless once pecked the base of a cabbage leaf and walked around all day with it over her head but wouldn’t let anyone close enough to get it off!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive stamp organisation
Take care and happy WOYWW

Hi Christine, that's a good idea with the stamps, maybe you'll use them now but don't feel guilty because you're not the only one that buys the magazines and then stores the stamps but doesn't get round to using them. I have lots which look useful at the time and I am trying to get round to using them....well I am trying Lol! Happy creative woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteChicken hotel? That’s a new one to me but it sounds fun....I quite fancy booking in for a week lol.

Oh I grew up with Chickens. All shapes and sizes. Our farm only has a few cattle left, he treats them like pets ! 3 have been here forever, 1 little one and 2 due and of course a BIG Bull, lots of barn cats. I said in January I NEED to use stamps I've never touched and I've a few laying out to do that. Sometimes my crafting is OUT of Control !! Enjoy a good week.
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant way of converting your roller stamps, Christine. I've never heard of a Chicken Hotel - is it like a cattery, only for chickens LOL? Would keep the cats entertained for sure is they were in the same place together - not in the same cage obviously. Thanks for your visit and happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #20
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic way to convert roller stamps into a more useful format. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#9)
ReplyDeleteYou really must tell us more about the Chicken Hotel - I too have never heard of one and would love to know more.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I have some of those roller stamps, never ever used, maybe if I did that with them i would use them.
Hope you are well.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx
Oh my - I still have roller stamps too, a few, and I came across them last week. I literally just thought the same thing, to pry them off the rollers, and I see it is a good idea so will surely follow your lead! So much more useful and space-saving!
ReplyDeleteAnd I just have to say - CHICKEN HOTEL?? What a good/crazy idea :D
Late start - best laid plans and all that…

Well done with your stamps, Christine. I unmounted a whole lot several years ago and it was the most horrible job! I don't do very much stamping but at least they are useable now. I love the idea of the chickens going to a hotel! Will they give them room service and early morning tea in bed, I wonder?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment, and the Word of God is something I habitually cling to especially in times of crisis. God is faithful and I know He will never let me down, and that whatever happens, He is in control. I've got an appointment with the nurse practitioner at the surgery tomorrow and we'll see if she needs to refer me on or not.
Happy WOYWW and God bless,

Hi Christine. How's you doing? Sounds like you are busy1 What with straightening out stamps, removing chickens and cleaning out chicken runs... Goodness - whatever will you get up to next? Careful how you answer that one!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

what a great idea about dismantling the roller stamps! never knew there was a chicken hotel either... hope the weather lets you clean them out! take care. Helen#4
ReplyDeleteWell I'll bet those stamps are easier to store now!! Still chuckling over the chicken hotel, have visions of them fighting over sunbeds round the pool.... Have a great week, stay safe, stay well, love n hugs Cindy #14
ReplyDeleteI've never had roller stamps before but I love your organisation. I have spent many hours picking rubber stamps off the blocks and putting them on to EZmount - it's a satisfying job when it's done and they are all stored beautifully.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week, hope your chickens enjoy their holiday,

WOw who knew there were Chicken Hotels Christine. I have a load of roller stamps too that I haven't used for ages. I may look them out and have a play. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeleteWhat a genius idea with the roller stamps! I'm debating chickens myself but I'd love some runner ducks too. Late to the party this week - stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the stamps. I used to have bantams, unfortunately they got too noisy so husband said they had to go - it didn’t help that we were loving on an estate! Have a great week Angela #23
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit and comment on my blog, i really am behind this week
ReplyDeleteHope you manage to clean out the Chicken hotel while they are gone,
glad you can now use your stamps,
Take care and stay safe,

Chicken Hotel!! Weather dependant really is the phrase of the month isn’t it, am really a bit tired of the cold? I appreciate the sun when it shines but it’s not doing much for temperatures is it!
ReplyDeleteGreat work with the roller stamps. I had a couple that I wanted to save fear the same purpose and when I finally got around to taking them off the roller they were both a bit perished where I’d had them standing, so it saved me a job! a brilliant indexing idea.
Hi Christine - I have a couple of roller stamps - neglected but pretty - what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI am just popping by to have a sneaky look - I am back to WOYWW after a long time out so seeing who's who and what's what LOL!! Hope to catch up again soon - Cheers Maurs #33 xxx
That's a great idea, I have roller stamps and hardly use them these days and they take up a lot of space, may have to get some cling and do this too.
ReplyDeleteKyla
Still trying to catch up with my commenting! Yesterday was Mother's Day here in Australia so after a lovely lunch and lots of fizz I didn't get anything else done...
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea with the roller stamps - I sold all mine as a job lot on ebay!
Happy Woyww!
