Hi Woywwers
Just about to try a 'new' die and hopefully make a card . . .
The desk:
To the right . . . . the die.I have had this die for some years, yes . . . I know . . . . anyhow I did try using it some time ago, thought it was a card maker as in title. Turns out to be just the front of the card, so several pieces of paper are needed. I have sorted out some paper pads ready to use, old ones so it won't hurt too much if I have to throw some attempts!!!This little fellow, I am a rabbit fanatic, was on sale in Asda. I love my little pot pets and they are kept outside in the pots on my plant theatre, in view of the kitchen window (to make me smile when WU)I found this photo of the 'old man' during my travels on the web. Brought back lots of memories. This photo was poster size on my wall . . . among many others . . . I still have my scrapbook from those days . . . . happy memories. My beloved father was disgusted with me as I sat crying when Cliff appeared on Oh! Boy! . . . pink jacket and all. Dad said he was a two week wonder . . . .WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page. Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.
One of Cliff Richard’s records was the first one I bought! Cute rabbit. Went into Homesense last week. They had so many different rabbits on display. I was so tempted. It is easier to resist when my husband is with me :). Happy WOYWW Angela #9
ReplyDeleteLove the little rabbit, we have a few pot ones scattered around the garden. During lockdown I put them at the gate every day for the kiddies to look at when they were out on their walk. They still come looking for them.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy playing with our dyes

That looks an interesting die - does it just create layers for a card, one of the images I can see in the background looks like it can open like a book. Have fun making your card. I love the little rabbit, he's so cute. My first LP was a Cliff Richard one, I was given it by a family friend but I was really into David Cassidy at the time!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely week,

Hi Christine. Sometimes these dies are confusing. Good luck with it and I look forward to seeing the results. My parents took me to a Cliff Richard concert in Sheffield, not sure how old I was or whether it was because I wanted to go or my mum Lol! Loving the bunny, he's well cute. I'm pleased you liked the idea of using the suitcase for storage. I don't like to throw anything away if I can find a different use for it. Take care and happy woyww, Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteYAY I saw that same rabbit this morning in Asda. Pondered if it was a Hare or a rabbit. Bit confused about the die use, no wonder you have left it so long LOL. Thanks for the visit BJ#11
ReplyDeleteTwo week wonder! Your dad was proved wrong wasn't he. So you were a Cliff fan? Summer Holiday and all that. Gosh you bring back some memories for me with that.
ReplyDeleteI have a die something like that and I bought it thinking it cut out a card shape. Phooey! Not to worry, we cope.
Stay safe and well Christine
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
I’m late visiting as I’ve spent my day catching up after spending 6 hours putting my errors right. I had to laugh at your photo of Cliff....I was in love with him asa child (and still am of course) and my dad used to tease me about him too. He used to say he couldn’t sing and would never last.

Interesting die. Had to look up Cliff Richards as I don't remember him. Funny that I beat you to #17! Have a great week!

hope you work out the die. the rabbit is fab! Have a good week Helen ##24
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, I laughed at your dad calling Cliff a 2 week wonder! I think my sister and I were in love with Bay City Rollers - not sure which one of them, or maybe all of them lol. I like the die, I don't have that one, but have some similar that I use for cards. Will be interesting to see your results. Love the rabbit - I might have to pop into Asda at some point! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #2
ReplyDeleteI am in the dark as I don't know who Cliff Richards is. But I collected rabbits for a while. Ok I googled, Cliff, still don't know who he is. Your desk looks very neat. And if you make a mistake with the die, it is only paper! LOL Have a great week. Sharon #25
ReplyDeleteOh that rabbit is so cute Christine - I will have to get one as an extra for my sister's birthday. Have fun experimenting with the dies - look forward to seeing the results. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #14
ReplyDeleteI never got Cliff, never heard of him til we crossed the pond in the early 90s. But hey ho - sure there are 100 super popular US stars unknown outside the US as well. Keeps it interesting for sure. Love the rabbit, very cute, and wondeing how that die cuts. I'll come back to check out the final card.... :)
ReplyDeleteLate again . . . but so very VAXED

Love the look of the die and interested to see what you do with it. Love the bunny and it would make me smile too. As for Cliff, I preferred him to Elvis - gasp. My Dad couldn't understand me screaming at the Beatles hahaha. Thanks for the memories.

Your Dad - made me laugh, I remember my Dad having a huge amount to say when Boy George appeared on Top of The Pops, and amongst it was his ‘won’t last more than two weeks’ phrase! I like the card die very much those border holes will be lovely..and could even be stitched if you fancy a long and tortuous make! Love the idea of pot pets and especially that you can see them from the sink, perfect!
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at the Two Week Wonder comment ! I was a huge Elvis fan and all the rock and roll music, still love to play my old 5o's/60's music
