The desk
As you can see I gave up on the die . . . . again! I will try to sort it out when I have more time.
With AGM's coming up, there are numerous letters to be printed and posted, figures to be sorted to present to the Committee of one group . . . . all good fun!!
I have still managed to make a few cards, hope to get them in the post at the weekend but we shall see how it goes.
I want to try a new medium for my artwork so I might, might being the operative word, venture into town next week . . . . with the schools' half term, I may have company . . . . here's hoping.
Marianne has posted a new pattern, little bonnets. Just what I wanted, it's not all about the boys!! This will keep me occupied while watching tv, and will make a nice change to the preemie sets.On Sunday, Fx came to play for the day, and one of the things that turned up was this blanket . . .
It was knitted for Dx, I was practising a new stitch. The colours started out in LMR Colours (PJ was working on 6201 - Princess Elizabeth at the time!) When PJ had his accident, he didn't like those colours so I added the blue . . . . . I used it for Dx and Fx when they were in their pushchair. It sits on the back of the settee now and came into play . . . . Fx wants his own blanket to sit under while watching Tiger . . . . it will have to have green in it . . . . . .A little bit of pressure on the brush causes the base to smooth away, much better than my fingers or wrist. . . . which aren't much use anyways! lol
The screen this week says it all . . . . .
How lovely that the blanket is still being used and loved - you'll have to find a lovely green for the little un. I love the fact that the brush is being used and has such a good effect! Good luck with all the admin, you're a good soul keeping on doing all that. It's a horrible dark rainy day here today so that screen saver is very apt.

That’s what I am looking for at the moment - something to do while watching TV. I think I will crochet a blanket! Happy WOYWW Angela #9

I used to love knitting while watching TV but so often I would find myself sat there with the knitting in hand and all alone because I had been asleep for hours. Knitting just used to send me off to sleep, I think it's just so relaxing. The little bonnets are gorgeous. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x8x
ReplyDeleteThose little bonnets are beautiful 💕I love that you made a blanket and it's still being used and loved.Gorgeous they are on your screen and sums up the weather to a T. Here's to better, calmer, drier weather ahead for us all. Sending hugs Tracy #25
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little bonnets. So nice that you make these blankets and preemie sets. Fun that you learned a new stitch. Cute little kids in the rain. We have a lot of snow in the forecast starting tonight. Hugs! #21
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, you forget how small babies can be till you see those dear little bonnets, how great you are to do them. I’m so sorry about the die…basic question…have you offered it to the rollers at different angles? I have one or two that seem to be sharpened on the wonk and don’t work at all well if put in the rollers straight on. Glad to see the blank it lives on, it’ll be lovely to make another for the Fx, I think we underestimate what these things mean to them.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of an add-to blankie! How neat to bring a bit of personal favourites for each hand-down to a new kid or new generation. I love that sort of family history, embedded in an object. And I love Marianne's pattern, have knitted tons of them so I now must pop off to see the bonnets. I have been on a bit of a knitting kick at the moment. I just can't settle into a single craft...
ReplyDeleteFinally back to finish up!
