WOYWW #725

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

Another busy week, how I ever found time for paid employment I don't know . . .  Oh yes!  I do!  I only stitched, no mixed media creating!!!  lol

The desk

I have been continuing to use up the new die cuts . . . the garden calls on sunny days and on rainy days the clearing and sorting of my house calls . .  sometimes VERY  loudly!!

Anyways, these cards are still in the sticking down stage.

The yellow tissue peeking out is, believe it or not, a teabag!  Lemon and ginger tea . . . going to try an echinacea one and see what colour I get . . . . love me a freebie!!

As you can see the coffee machine path was cleared and it is back in good use.

Thank you all for the comments reference my magazine collection.  The consensus of opinion seems to be to keep the relevant pages and ditch the rest of the mags.  This is what I was going to do but . . .  now I will defo throw the mags and reduce my folder count . . . . something to do on a rainy day . . .

I shall be starting my ATCs this week, I think I have a plan . . .

Updated:

If you would like to swap ATCs let me know in the comments . .

  1. Hooray for having a path to the coffee again, a necessity in this household! I can’t believe that yellowy tissue was a tea bag, do you dry it out after use or cut it open and use the leaves loose? I’m intrigued!

  2. Maybe you will share a before & after shot of your pile o' mags - I'll bet even you will be surprised at the space you get to claim back. I very very occasionally think of a use for old mags and think, why did I do it? But honestly, those moments come so few and far between, AND of course I have amassed a few more mags in the meantime so... :D Love the cards, very pretty and what handy die cuts. Love the tea bag too - I always forget to save them when it is interesting tea!
Happy WOYWW (back to being on time!)

  8. What a lovely card - I love the florals against the really striking geometric shapes - fabulous. I'm a great fan of using tea bags but as I'm not a fan of flavoured teas I never have 'unusal' ones to play with! I'd love to swap please!
Hope you have a great week,

  9. Hi Christine, I have my note book here and I've entered your name, yes I'd love to swap with you. As crafters we waste nothing, just need to use up all those items that I keep saving just in case! but I'm sure you have a plan for the tea bags. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x8x

  11. I do hope you had a Gelli Plate day yesterday and we get to see some results next week.
Those are pretty cards, love the yellow one especially, it is quite different. Saying that the blue one is so pretty, love blue and white together with nothing else.
I will see if my fruit tea (red berries) does colour the teabag and if it does will send you some but don't hold your breath as i don;t drink it that often. I will try though, honestly.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  12. Oh my, my email comment notifications didn't work at all yesterday so I thought I had no comments, came to have a look today and have loads!

Spent most of yesterday trying to sort my glasses out. Had to go back to Boots as my prescription was wrong, the optometrist sorted it out and apologised however the staff on the desk were horrid so I've emailed customer support, glad I took my husband with me this time to see what they were like.

Yes I'd love to SWAP with you. Loving the mosaic card, gorgeous

  13. OH! I wrote a long, long, post on your cards, magazines, ATC's and coffee machine, it's gone, and I don't know where. Sorry can't repeat it, I can't remember what it was I said. Beautiful cards and I'm going to try star anise tea to colour some white tissue. Thanks for the idea.

  14. I have read several times to use magazines for art, journals, collage etc. all I can say is there are magazines and there are magazines, I never find the right ones - probably doesn’t help that I don’t buy any 🤣🤣. I did see a £7 magazine with images I would love - but £7?? Read Hibiscus tea makes a great colour. I have liquorice and peppermint at the moment , Have a great week. Angela #16
