WOYWW #770

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem!

The really thick fog is clearing here but the traffic is still pretty heavy . . . . when the HGVs start to come down the road then I know we have standing traffic on one of the motorways, I hope and pray that it is nothing serious . . .

The desk is about to get busy . . .

I am still catching up with all my swaps, this one is particularly challenging . . . Etegami

I have watched lots of videos  . . .  I think I am ready to 'have a go'.

We shall see what happens . . . .

The screen this week is just a reminder . . .

  1. Sounds like you're busy. It's funny, I find I've either got no ideas or lots and then it feels like an explosion on my desk lol! Yours looks like desk in waiting. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww. Hugs Angela x9x

  4. I hadn't heard of etegami before so of course I had to look it up. I fear it is one of those things that looks very carefree and easy with simple charming pictures but if I tried it would look like a child had had a bad day at the painting easel! I love the quote that started it though - “It’s okay to be awkward. Awkwardness has charm.” Have a great week. Lisa-Jane #14 www.prettymypage.co.uk

  5. Ooh you've piqued my interest - Etegami sounds interesting and I'll be off to investigate shortly! Hope it's successful for you and I hope you'll share the results with us (no pressure!!).
    Have a great week,

  6. So, I checked out the Etigame and I might be able to do that! Finally, a technique that does not intimidate! Thanks for sharing! Love the image on your screen!

Be well and enjoy the remainder of your week!

  7. Sounds as if you are a bit like me, I worry when the weather is bad about accidents and especially if I hear an emergency siren going,
I thought it was a typo when I saw 'etegami' but then I looked it up and saw it was Japanese postcard art. Sounds quite nice and it would mean I could get my Japanese stamps out again. I was crazy about those stamps in the beginning but they went out of fashion and have lain idle since. It would be good to do something with them.
    Good luck with yours.

  8. Thanks for the link to the knitting. I will check it out. It's always good to find a few new ones although I do have loads as Annie gave me hers too . Lots of them are in four ply which is a bit slow for me but the little pink one worked quite quickly. x x Jo

  10. I hadn’t read your post when I read your comment on mine so I didn’t know what you meant by Etegami. Now I do, thanks, your example is beautiful and swirly.
    Take care

  11. Another new technique to try, I have loads waiting in the wings, so to speak. As for weather, we have blue skies and beautiful sunshine, BUT, the wind is a chiller. Good to have it dry for a change though. We had an air ambulance go over earlier, I always think what has happened and someone need serious help. GREAT quote for the day. Hope your day and week goes well x

  12. Having diverted to Google to learn about Etagami, I am really looking forward to seeing what you do. Holding the brush in that way looks tricky and impossible to control. I guess practice is the answer! Have a great week Angela #10

  15. Oh good! I was hoping you would figure it out and share to save me from totally getting sidetracked into another technique LOL!. I'll be interested to see what you make. Windy here today so Poppy does not get an open window, but I just keep saying "soon, soon..."
    Happy WOYWW!
