Etegami

 I finished the Etegami card and promptly lost it . . . . .

Not really . . .

It disappeared into here . . . . .

Along with a Dragon Card and  . . . .

Some ATCs!!!

I sourced out what I was going to create . . . . . after reading up about it on several online sites like this one . . . Etegami

One picture . . a Tree.  I like trees, I'm not a tree hugger but I'm sure I could be if no one was looking . . . . I certainly have stroked a few . . . .lol

Then I needed a Kanji -  so 'a tree'

and a circle . . . .  because . . . .

I was very nervous as this is all new to me but I had several pieces of watercolour paper to hand . . .

Ooops!! . . . .

but then it all came together which makes me a happy bunny

I added a few stamps along the edges, my attempt to 'balance' the design.

The Dragon card is for the same Group but  . . . . a bit late . . .

The ATCs are my acknowledgement of lives lost . . . . .

I have checked out my Recollections Blog but have never posted about the Titanic and my family history . . . . added it to the list!!

I'll update and add a link when I've posted the story.

Good morning my friends

and it is a good morning as this will be my first day with my new oxygen cylinder system.  It hasn't arrived yet but soon . . . . sooon . . . .     I will post about it as you know I will!!  lol

The desk

Not much has been happening in this area, mostly dumping!

the Etigami is still waiting . . .  post has arrived . . . . new form to fill in . . . . and lots of ignoring it all!

My time has been taken up with some stressful (to me) activities but now I am back to MY life . . . . if you think retirement is nice and quiet and easy going . . . . 

I hope to visit everyone so I'd best make a start . . .  the coffee is brewed . . .. .

The really thick fog is clearing here but the traffic is still pretty heavy . . . . when the HGVs start to come down the road then I know we have standing traffic on one of the motorways, I hope and pray that it is nothing serious . . .

I am still catching up with all my swaps, this one is particularly challenging . . . Etegami

I have watched lots of videos  . . .  I think I am ready to 'have a go'.

Welcome from a foggy morning here . . . . . looking out the window one could think it was November . . . . 

The Desk

I'm having a rummage . . . .  nothing like a good old rummage . . . .

Do you think we are encouraged to rummage from our days rummaging for just the right soft toy in our cot?

We always know what we're looking for when we find it . . . .

Anyhoos . . . . I am rummaging for just the right paper as a background to a card . . . 

Short but sweet today as my hands aren't working as well as  they could do . . . sometimes they need a bit of rest  . . .

I haven't posted one of these photos for many years . . . . 

The sun is shining today and as I looked out of the window I saw this . . . . 

Not very inspiring you might think but let me give a background for the newcomers . . .

The folks who lived in this house opposite planted a line of daffodils along the grass verge at the base of this wall.  Beautiful sight every Spring but then they sold the house not long after we moved in.  

Coming home from work one evening, I noticed the new owner sat outside happily digging . . . 

Yes, every single bulb was dug up . . .  I don't know whether he thought they were garlic . . .  onions . . . .??!!!

Such a shame  . . . . 

A few years later I noticed a couple of long green leaves appearing . . . . 

Then one year a single flower . . . . 

Today . . . .

and lookee along here . . . . .

Hurray!  I know what day it is . . . .  . hello friends!

Still trying to catch up with my creative swaps, all the while trying to fill the skip.  We have now made a big enough space in the boxroom for both of us to stand in there!!  Two hours a week is slow going but we are clearing . . . . 

I was so protective of everything but now, with the skip on the drive, I have decided I no longer need to keep all the paperwork Peter produced while studying for his degree in the late 1990's  . . . . . good times but not needed in the future . . . .  he has a folder of certificates etc going back to when he learnt to swim in 1959 . . . . I know . . .  not wanted on journey but  . . . . good to show the grandsons!!!
