 The Anniversary One!

I have lost track of which one this is  . . . all I know is that we are all extremely grateful to Julia (Stamping Ground) for setting up this meeting place so many posts ago.  Thank you Julia.

My desk is not crafty at all this week, I am catching up with my office work!!!

I spent a week away with DD1 and so I am having to catch up with the paperwork.

The booklet at the right is our quarterly magazine which, this time, is a celebration of one of our drivers . . . . . . . he retired from driving on the mainline and then came back to drive our steam engines and train up some new young drivers . . . . . now, after 60years of driving, he has decided to definitely retire . . . . . yes Ray . .  of course!

Actually, looking at the magazine now, I realise that on the back page is a photo of one of the last projects on which Peter and I did some work.  Back in September, we planted perennials and a few small bushes, under planted with some spring flowering bulbs in the flowerbed on the station platform.  I must say they are a tribute to our hard work on that sunny morning, we were so tired out afterwards and so looking forward to seeing it this Spring . . . . . they are just as we imagined . . . .

I hope to finish my paperwork and get some ATCs posted out on Thursday/Friday (dependant on the weather if I go to the postbox!).
I am open to swapping with anyone else as well as the person who follows me . . . . .  let me know in the comments if you'd like to swap with me.

Enjoy the freedom of meeting up and getting back to some form of social life . . . . . but . . . . stay safe.

WOYWW #622

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

Today's desk has the remnants of yesterday's work, I have been sorting out some rubber stamps.

These were originally roller stamps, very old as you can tell, but I have removed them and now, added some Cling-a-Ling and turned them into border stamps I can use!!

I printed out the stamps and added this to a piece of packaging acetate, with the stamps on the other side I now have a neatly stored set of stamps.

That's it for this week, short but sweet.

I have a busy few days ahead as there are arrangements to be made for the removal of the chickens to the Chicken Hotel for a week.  I may even clean and clear the ranch out while they're away . . . .  weather dependant of course!

I am trying to catch up with all that must be done, my Blog has appeared on the scene and has now been 'fitted in'.  Expect to see me featured a bit more often although not so many photos.

My desk this week has been covered in Butterflies . . . . the brightly/pastelly painted type!!

I found every die, almost, that I have and diecut them out.

I found some pretty paper while I was clearing out, so much but these two sheets would be perfect.

So, do I hear your ask, what will you do with all those butterflies?  Well, several have already flown away, some are waiting to fly and the rest are settled in a box for future use.

Sad but pretty . . . .

On a brighter note . . . .

Look what I have found . . . .

Given to Peter by our own MaryAnn way back in 2016 . . . . a really joyous find!

Follow me new button

As the 'follow by email' links will no longer work soon, I have added a Bloglovin' link.  Hopefully I have done this correctly so that when you click the link your name will be added and you should receive all my future posts in an email from Bloglovin.  Any other Blogs which you follow under the Bloglovin' banner will also appear in this single email.

I prefer to use this banner and every morning, I settle down with a coffee and read my emails all contained in this one place.

So 'click the link' and continue to be amazed by my artworks, laugh at my silly adventures and applaud my hard work.

Above all continue to enjoy!

Hello

 I'm still here, living each day as it comes. . . . . .

I don't seem to have the patience any more to mess with my laptop AND blogger so I am ignoring them both.

I will catch up with my cardmaking, ATCs and my adventures . . . . . yes, still having adventures . . .  they're nearer home for now though.

Hopefully, if the good weather continues, I may get out into the garden.  I have plans for the greenhouse, not for growing tomatoes but plants that I really like!!

By the way . . . . the island does really look like this now . . .

Six Months

Six Months to the date - 3rd

Six Months to the day - Saturday

Six Months of loss, pain, tears, need I go on.

Six Months of fighting HSBC to obtain access to my money

I am really trying to go forward.

I keep hitting hard patches and want him here

To help me out

To sort it out

To do it for me 'cos I can't

I didn't know it was going to be like this.  When we spoke of being the one left behind, which we did often, we saw only the greenness

We would have all the room in the bed . . . . . .the big empty bed

We would have all the quilt . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . on the big empty bed

We would eat what we wanted . . . .  . . . . . . .  even though it has no taste

We would get up when we wanted  . . . . . . . . .but what for

What fun we would have

On our own

BUT

It's not like that at all

It's not like that at all

I know that life goes on

I am trying to embrace it

Trying to remember I am very Blessed, I have so much . . . .

and Jesus loves me

Why? I don't know
