WOYWW #396

This is What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

Oh! My goodness!  I must be getting old ...... couldn't remember the number of WOYWWs we were up to!!
Confession time hereabouts now...... there wont be much crafting done over the next few days!
We are having our house valued and we would like him/her to see the actual house so we are having a Grand Tidy Up, I hope to then to start sorting and chucking.  We are not selling it up, we are doing it up and wondered how much the refurbishment will change the value.  Think television programmes.  It's something we have always promised ourselves we would do so this is the year ...... workmen are on standby ....
This week, and I hope only this week, my desk is setup for the creating and crafting.  Looks a bit staged, it is ..... just to remind me when I go into the room .... Chinese New Year swap .....

Love the sheet of Royal Mail stamps, disappointed to find the actual stamp is an old design ......
Lots of red envelopes, labels, magazine cuttings .... just to inspire me .....

May not get round to visiting desks today, depends how well I get on with the tidying.  Talking of visiting desks .... I have noticed on several visits that my comments are not showing up, even some hours later when I go back to check.  I never know whether to comment again or leave it in case it shows up later, I visit a lot more desks than my comments show!!

Off now, have a good week, enjoy your creating ......

  3. Ah yes the year of the rooster fast approaching - I do hope we all have something wonderful to crow about. I am new to WOYWW & I spent quite a bit of time tidying so my desk would look like I know what I am doing. Oh I'm not sure I am ready for a whole house tidy yet! Good Luck with the valuation. Happy 2017.

  5. Happy New Year, Christine. I trust this may be a very special year for you both. Oooo - having the builders in - great fun - even if you do end up eating brick dust sandwiches for months...Hope it all goes really well.

  11. Made me chuckle..revealing the house from under stuff..imagine if you were selling and had to keep it clear...I'd have to clear up and move into a hotel!! Excited for you about the changes to be made, we're doing something too...we can compare erm notes and dust levels!

  13. I hope all this goes well for you. If you have workmen you can trust you could disappear for a while and let them get on with it. We were lucky when we had our loft done as we went on holiday for a week which was great as they had cleaned all the dust away by the time we got back. Thanks for the visit to mine and Happy New Year woyww, Angela x 18

  14. Happy New Year! Good luck with your remodel--I can't even begin to imagine what we would have to do to even start! LOL! I'm wondering about your comment on comments...I'm getting emails saying "Delivery Status Notification Failure" for all my posts.NOt sure what it means, but they do seem to be there when I check back, not sure what I can do to fix it...hmmmm.
    Have a great week.

  15. I had the house in tip-top shape for our valuation back in the summer, but then we decided not to sell after all. It's still all up in the air. I would hate to have to do it every time there's a viewing. I'm not sure which is a bigger palaver - selling or doing up LOL! Love the Chinese stuff! Happy 2017! Thanks for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #24

Love that you're having house valued before renovation, good idea. Well done on being organised for the Chinese swap.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration, and happy belated WOYWW.
