WOYWW #397

This is What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

A very quick post this morning, flying in before we go collect Little Soldier.
This larger view of the desk shows how I left it after giving up!
I had made the four atcs in the centre of the desk and, when it came to finishing off with labels and plastic pockets, I noticed a spill of pink watercolour on the pink card - abandoned.
Then the quote smudged on the green one - give up and come back another day!
So that's the desk.
You might notice a few other items crowded round .... the pot of pens given to me for Christmas by my SIL, the stamps still waiting to be used, a few bird pictures ready to update Little Soldiers picture book.....

Off we go then, another day of strange happenings before the snow arrives.  I'm not holding my breath as we live in the suburbs of a big city and the weather doesn't always happen round here, but .... glancing out my window as I type I see the Bamboo is almost bent double at times so it looks as though the wind has arrived .......

Have a good week and catch you all later tonight.  I plan to use nap time to make a cauliflower cheese for dinner, lovely cauli bought from Studley Nurseries .... love their fresh fruit and veg.

  1. Hi Christine, it is very windy here too- hopefully the snow will not get down this far!So annoying to get smudges right at the end. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xxx

  2. Windy here too. Don't think we'll get any snow here either. Any chance of layering a new stamped sentiment on a separate piece of card over the smudged version? I hate it when that happens. Definitely the right time for a break! Happy WOYWW #25

  3. Hi Christine. Yup - exceedingly windy here, too. I doubt if we shall get snow on the coast, but I possibly will be seeing it from my home. I can see the beginning of the mountains!!
Aargh! How frustrating to have your hard work spoil right at the end. They look lovely, too. Will you simply re-do the same ones. I love that verse about seeing the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Enjoy your time with little soldier - and enjoy the yummy cauliflower cheese. Can I come??
    Take care. God bless.

  4. Ooh, I LOVE pens!! Great desk

Yes, I've heard we're expecting snow tomorrow too, all except a swathe across the middle - hope you're lucky enough to be in that swathe!

    Happy WOYWW

  5. Happy WOYWW. Windy here too, but that is not a surprise in Pembrokeshire! I don't think we will get any snow here - but I remember how much we used to get in the West Midlands when I lived up there (all those hills!). Stay warm and safe. Ali x #29

  7. It was very windy here in Michigan last night. Warmer though so snow melted...again. I won't be holding my breath that it will be the last of it. Nope. The ATCs are looking great.

    Stay warm. Happy WOYWW

  8. We had terrible wind last night, it kept waking me up, and I kept expecting to hear branches from our big trees come crashing down - bu everything is OK. Too bad about your ATCs - I do that too, when I start making mistakes or accidents, I stop. Come back to it another day. Thanks for sharing, Lindart #39

  9. It is amazing that some days seem to be just not made for crafting. Tomorrow all just falls into place again.
    Stay safe in the cold.
    Happy WOYWW!

  10. I am really hoping we don't get the snow down here, it causes such disruption for such a small amount! luckily we didn't get the strong winds either.. it doesn't sound as if you're having much luck craftwise, right now; hope it goes better tomorrow. Helen #2

  11. I have days like that.. where you are almost finished something and then poof something happens and it feels ruined.. and I put them into a 'reject' box hoping to salvage them for a new project.

We are predicted snow tomorrow afternoon.. and it will be getting much colder.. but so far.. it's not been too windy here.

    Have a great week,
    Erika (#33 not9 lol)
