WOYWW #449

What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

I'm not at my desk today, I'm back at the 'Christmas Shop'..... not quite the North Pole but I'm sure it's not much warmer!!!

Father Christmas came late.  Well, actually..... we found a shop selling my village houses .... half price .... yeah!  half price!

PJ and I went over there and 'had a look' ....

...... he chose one (ice rink - all ringing & dancing) and then I chose one ....

.... a row of shops all with flashing lights......

....half price .....

... so we chose another one each .....
.... a fountain with actual water for PJ ...

......and a French Bakery for me ....

....had to be didn't it?!    lol

..... and then we paid for them.

So that's Christmas definitely put away!

Well, these two children were never very good at waiting for Christmas....

....and the houses may go up in price next year ..... so ....

.....Christmas came early for one little girl....

...back we went to the shop .....

A drinking house and a row of shops .... all with flashing lights ....soooo beautiful ....

I have to wait until next Christmas now to set them all out on show ..... the waiting will kill me!!!

Then we found out that we could get a club card and gain points ..... and where were the previous receipts?   Back home!!!

But it doesn't matter cos the nice man at checkout said we could have the points added to the card at any time.

If we go today we can take the Little Soldier to the soft play area, have a cup of tea at the same time.

So we are off to the shop again .... keeping our hands in our pockets this time!!

I tell you there has been some weird conversations round here, mostly concerning houses and Wills!

So have a good week, take care of yourselves, stay warm.

  1. Cute post, after Christmas sales delight me ! And if you are a collector it is always fun to find things you love. My friend added on a room and made theirs a stationary fixture. Enjoy

  2. Hi Christine and Happy New Year as I didn't manage to visit last week. I can't wait either to see your village set up next Christmas. My mum has one on top of the baby grand each year which is amazing too (not as all singing and dancing as yours though). The French bakery definitely had to be! Have a good week. Sarah #12

  3. Hi Christine - erm, and PJ. I'm sitting here laughing out loud at your wonderfully funny post... Have a great third visit to the shop!!!!! Next time I am in the area I might just have to pop by and share an early Christmas with you - see them all... I found a rather large church and people all lit up the other year at a table top sale... I love it, and if I feel like being a crazy lady, can have the lights flashing madly. If I feel in sensible mode they are just steadily shining out:-)
    Take care. God bless.

  4. You made me laugh with your shopping exploits! But how sweet are those little houses etc - your Christmas village is going to be a sight to behold next December. I do have a very soft spot for model anything really. I'm glad you and PJ indulged yourselves :-D

  5. These are lovely, Christine! Nothing beats a half price offer - well perhaps just the Buy One Get Two Free offer, which I have only ever seen once in my life at Tesco's for cheese. We ended up buying so much cheese, we couldn't eat it all LOL! Seriously, we had to give them away! These will look lovely next year - I'm already looking forward to next year's Christmas as well! 7. Wow, you will have to show us a nice big photograph of your village next Christmas. Please.
Some great bargains there and you can always peek at them throughout the year.

  11. Love it, they are gorgeous and I can’t wait to see their addition to your wonderful display either! Does make me smile that a third visit to the shop is played down by using the attraction of the soft play area!!
