WOYWW #451

What'sOnYourWorkdeskWednesday - if you want to find out more then checkout the WOYWW tab at the top of the page - and our thanks go to Julia for hosting this weekly meet up.

I cleared my desk of most of the border detritus and am now working in the centre of my board. There is a C6 card in the centre of said board....looks so lost and lonely ....
I am preparing for a tissue technique swap.

I have this ATC card on which I have used Brushos on the crumpled tissue.

I want to try a couple of other ways before I decide on the one to go with.

To the left is a box full of ATC basecards which have been cut from Christmas cards, birthday cards and packaging.
Just a tiny bit more tidying up!!!!

Looks like the snow has now gone and, although the weather is a bit dank, I would like to point out that the Snowdrops are in flower and the Daffodils & Bluebells are pushing their heads through the soil..... Spring iz a cumin ......

Thank you to all my visitors last week, I really appreciated the comments and am so pleased that so many of you liked my little village layout.

Little Soldier and I did not make Stay and Play as when we got off the bus he just wanted to come back home.  I think that fighting the bitter wind and awful cold air was just too much for him.... and me as I quickly agreed, popped into the supermarket to buy a cooked chicken and we came back home.
I was exhausted by it all and have had to rest for a fair few days so, I'm sorry, I did not make my visits to you all.
This week will be different, I'm back on my feet and catching up ....... so .... see you later.......

  1. Yep, Spring is a-coming - village churchyard is awash with snowdrops, and daffs are pushing up in the garden :)

  2. Ooh purdy! Love the tissue + Brusho background. I haven't tried Brushos on tissue paper before. Did you stick the tissue down first or add the Brushos? Glad you're feeling a bit better. Have a good week. Sarah #18

  3. Morning Christine - I have my first crocus in the garden... haven't peeked for snowdrops yet... might just have to get the car out and go down the Conwy valley - there are usually huge drifts of them on the roadside. I'm so thrilled to live here!!! Can you guess?
Brusho on tissue - looking at the way the colour ran I am presuming you screwed up the paper, vaguely spread it out, and splashed colour on. That way it runs beautifully in the cracks. Will you/have you ironed it? I remember that silk paints work well on tissue paper too.
    Take care. God bless.

  4. Nice brusho work there missus, and a mild panic at the empty craft mat - I thought you were moving! Feel you need to pace yourself, there's so many lurgies out there to catch, little soldier was totally right!!

  5. Haven't tried Brucho's..but like this effect. Didn't take time to see where you are living, but Spring, I need to move. At least 2 more months here before anything pops thru the ground. However 40's today will seem like a snowy spring. Melting for sure. Dirty cars for sure. Enjoy a lovely week

  11. I am still looking out for spring. Gray skies, rain and snow. There is only one cure - messing around with lots of colour!
    Have a nice week!

  12. I think you've had it worse than us with wind and cold but the rain has been dreadful here - I'm in danger of developing webbed feet :-D. I'm glad you've had a rest, sometimes we're really bad at stopping racing around.

  13. I like the effect of the Brusho's on the crumpled tissue paper - very effective. I would like to try that, although I don't use them as much as I should, I find they go everywhere!
Hope you have a good week,
