My desk today has all the workings going on..... I am creating some coins for a swap and practising my stamping and masking.
Once I had painted the backgrounds I punched out the 'coins' and proceeded to stamp and mask. I am pretty pleased with myself for using the stamps that arrived with this month's Creative Stamping Magazine as I very rarely use the stamps straight away but, these are beautiful scene creator stamps, and I soooo wanted to use them on 'something'.
Thank you for all the lovely messages you sent on the birth of our second boy grandchild, Mother and child are home now and progressing well. Felix has settled down as though he knows all about it and our wonderful Little Soldier is kicking off, showing us all that, emotionally, this is a hard thing to cope with!!
We hope to have lots of conversations with him today as he spends some time alone with us ...... I shall try to avoid the 'baby' or 'Felix' words of course!!
I hope to visit a few more desks next week and leave comments.....
Till then have a painty, stitchy, beady, stampy week.
Morning Christine, your page is looking fab and well done to you for using those stamps asap!!
ReplyDeleteGood to know Felix has settled into life so happily, hope little soldier will soon learn that it can be fun to have another around with twice as many toys to play with.
Enjoy those one to one days & Thanks for sharing WOYWW.

Your scrap paper on your desk is nearly as beautiful as those coins. I can see why you would want to use them. Happy WOYWW from #1.
ReplyDeleteOOPS. My brain thinks faster than my fingers can type. I can see why you would want to USE THE STAMPS. Duh!
ReplyDeleteStamping and masking... two things I am not so good at so I admire what you have on your desk, just wonderful!!! Happy woyww and a big hug from Holland! Marit #22
ReplyDeleteThanks for your early visit! I thought I got that magazine but I don't recognise those stamps! Mind you I don't get to them straight away either. Now what is a coin? I keep seeing this, is it like an atc or an inchie? Happy WOYWW Cindy #19
ReplyDeleteNothing like a new baby to rock the boat. I am waiting for grandchild number 4 and I think number 3 is going to play up even more than she does already! Karen #23

Thanks for calling by at mine earlier. I’m just grabbing a bit of lunch having sewn like crazy all morning....and it’s going well so far thankfully.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of the coins. I hope your little soldier soon accepts the new family member. All little ones are different and often they need a little while to accept the changes.
Hugs,

Hi Christine, loving your ATCs. I keep thinking that I should have a go at making some but just keep getting distracted with other stuff. I can understand Little Soldier feeling a bit left out but sure he will come round soon. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww, Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, congrats on your new arrival, always hard when a new brother or sister arrives especially when all visitors make a big fuss of the new baby.
ReplyDeleteAlways nice when you get a freebie that you really like and can find a project to use it on.
Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteSo you are on the ball with the coin atc's please tell me where you got your 2.5" punch I want one so badly.
Hugs & Thanks for visiting me Neet 6 xx
Hi Christine! Glad I'm not the only one that let the stamps/dies/ folders from the magazines languish. My goal is to use them more. I'd not heard of the 'coins'. Are those similar to doing 'inchies'? Inquiring minds want to know and see close up. ;-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #29
ReplyDeleteOh, your coins are lovely. Great that you got to use items from your magazine. Love all the colors on your desk mat, too. :) Thanks for the peek. Happy week! Kind of late to say Happy WOYWW! #36
