The weather has gone from good but cold to wet, windy and cold!!!! Jumpers out and heating definitely on!!
We have had another busy week here but progress has been made!
The shelves have been emptied.....
....The desk is covered....
.....more pieces have been added to the model on the windowsill!
...... sorry, PJ, doesn't look any different to me ..... maybe a few more cocktail sticks!! lol
I shall create my cards this week and, hopefully, I will write and address them all ready to post next week - the words flying and pigs come to mind.......
Whilst I was creating my 12 Days of Christmas ATCs (post to follow), I realised that my scissor drawer was not closing properly ..... the problem? the whole area was in the act of collapsing ........
Doesn't show too clearly here but the left side piece has separated from the desk itself ....... I suppose even desks have a shelf life....
I am now looking for a small cabinet, I shall start with a plastic one I think .....
heigh ho! that, with the increased motor insurance, will take care of our Winter Heating Allowance for this year!
More jumpers needed!!!
Have a good week and stay warm, lots of cosy food inside bodies - unless you're in warmer climes .... in which case ..... stay cool and eat ice cream!!
I still haven't completed the ATCs that were on my desk last week but I have completed these ....
Christmas is a cumin, Christmas is a cumin, Christmas is a cumin .......
Great photos - always something interesting going on... Keep warm!

Poor old drawer - it's done its best over the years but there comes a point......hopefully you'll have fun finding a storage system that works for you! PJ's been doing well with that model, he has way more patience than me, that's for sure! You look like you've been getting on with a lot of things this week - best thing to do when it's cold and rainy/snowy outside!

Hi Christine, if it helps, I can heartily recommend the IKEA Alex drawer units. They have the sturdiest, strongest drawers I've ever seen. Good sizes too. Loving the ATC's. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X #5
ReplyDeleteHope you manage to find an inexpensive solution to the drawer problem Christine. The ATCs are cute. PJ is getting on with the model! Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeletehope you can sort the drawer - my whole desk at work is collapsing; one morning I am sure I will go in and find everything on the floor...... I can do cold as long as it's DRY which this week (apart from today) it has not been.... have a good week Helen #1
ReplyDeleteOh darn the desk..bet it doesnt owe you much though..it’s just like the cars isnt it - you dont even notice them until they collapse! The ATCs are lovely, and yes thank you, I don’t need reminding that it’s coming, you’re making me panic!
ReplyDeleteHow dare it just fall apart, doesn't this piece of equipment realise how busy we are at this time of the year Lol! Good luck finding a replacement. Happy woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, I'm with Shaz on the Ikea drawers - they hold so much! I hope you manage to get something sorted. The ATCs look great, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... Thanks for stopping by earlier. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for some Black Friday bargains on acrylic paints to use with the Gelli plate - I can see me having a little fun with it! Have a lovely week Heather x #9
ReplyDeleteIt was like Deja vu looking at those boxes on your desk Christine, I have a loads of those all full of crafty stuff in my old work unit, garage, under the stairs etc.. Hubby used to give me them when they became empty, used to be full of plaster or filler if I remember right.. Handy storage.
ReplyDeleteHope you can find a solution to the breakdown of the draw/unit, maybe you will find a bargain during the black friday sales? No one needs added expense this time of year.
Best of luck with those CC's i'm losing hope with mine..

It looks as if you are really busy, Christine. I hope the room organisation goes on OK and you find the right cabinet. Very frustrating when the furniture collapses! Well done with the ATCs at any rate. Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you are enjoying my sourdough journey! I am getting more successes than failures now, I think, and practice definitely makes perfect. It always tastes delicious, though, even when it comes out flat, so that's a bonus! I agree so much about the pants people. Whatever happened to "The customer is always right"? It's not as if this is just a normal garment order - they are essential medical supplies and you'd think that would motivate them to be more businesslike and efficient.

I hate it when furniture 'breaks down' and I have to go look for replacement... hope you can find something nice to replace the broken cabinet... you look (and sound) busy, good luck ono the organizing and stay warm! Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday and 'walking with me'... hug from Holland! Marit #21
ReplyDeleteSo annoying when drawers give up at the wrong time. Still, if it has served you well. The iron gave up this morning!!!
ReplyDeleteParis and Hereford are having snow - so stay warm.
