Into March we go ...... dashing headlong as it seems .......the daffodils beaten down by wind and lashing rain.....
One busy desk for the perusing of ....
Two pretty china mugs now sit in front of the Coffee Maker - bought on holiday last year.
Box containing finished cards and received cards, a new pack of wipes sitting in front ready to wipe the workspace clean!
The matchbox is the current project, I have some pale pink card ready as the theme is Spring. We fill the matchbox with tiny goodies - such fun to receive.
Moving on there are some packages which contain Replica Trivia. I bought several while I was visiting the Railway Museum in York some years ago - It was the Titanic package which caught my eye so I had to have a closer look.
Some Titanic Pack contents |
Each pack contains newspaper, tickets (as in the Beatles pack), cigarette cards, train tickets, postcards from the time.......so nostalgic Britain.
Researching on Ancestry, I found all her Aunts and that one of them DID go to America but a few months later. No wonder her Mother (my Grandmother) had been so upset at the news of the Titanic .......
Well, I had better close before I drown in family stories!! lol
Here is another completed ATC Swap for February
The Theme was Hearts and here is my selection ......
Philippa, Liz and Alex |
....... and here are my return cards.
A wonderful selection don't you think.
Thank you Philippa, Liz and Alex, my thanks also to JanW for a great selection.

ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. The memorabilia is fantastic. I have always been fascinated by the Titanic too, but no family link. Great ATCs. It reminds me that I need to make some owl ATCs for a Facebook swap. Ali x #11
ReplyDeleteHi Christine. Loving the ATCs, great designs. I am a bit obsessed with the Titanic story. I have no good reason other than the books and TV programs that have continued to open up information relating to the ship and the company, it's very interesting. Wishing you a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteLoved your post Christine and story of your grandmother re titanic... curious family backgrounds and stories aren’t they? My grandmother told me things I found out weren’t quite so! Great ATCs too!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW ..Hugs Shaz inOz.x #18
You can tell us all the family stories you like, I love hearing about things like that! The matchbox project sounds fantastic, it's a skill to find tiny enough items to fit into such a little space! I loved the atcs you made as well, great idea for the Hearts theme :-D
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 6 xxxx
Loving the atc's - your choice of subject is particularly appealing to me as I a an Alice fan.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful story about your aunt, well not wonderful that she lost her life in the Titanic but to have first hand knowledge of someone ...
Good luck with the matchbox, I once dd a matchbox swap on the internet and thoroughly enjoyed making mine up (in a small matchbox) but what a delight I got in the things in the one to me - in a large matchbox.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx
What fabulous memorabilia packs Christine. Love the ATCs too. You are certainly right back into crafting now everything is sorted. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
