WOYWW #596

WOYWW - All the deets on how to link up etc. and, more importantly, why you should, can be found at the top of the page.  Thank you Julia for hosting another week of fun and mayhem.

Still chasing my tail here .. .. . .

No cards being made as yet . . . .  printouts, new lists, phonecalls etc. etc. etc.
Next week WILL be different, how do I know that you ask?
Peter's funeral is on Friday at 11.00hrs.

I hope to catch up with my life, which will be different and just as exciting!  Lockdown means nothing to me as we spent most of this year on our own, except for my glorious girls, so I will fill the time with sewing, knitting, painting  . . . . .oh! you know how it is . . . . .

I must say that Friends of Vintage Trains have been very good in allowing me to continue with Peter's work as Membership Secretary.  There are days when I can shut myself away, just reconcile accounts and pretend I am Credit Control again!!
No, I don't want to go back to paid employment, thank you!!

Have a good week everyone and I hope the sun shines on you all.

  1. It’ll be a day of such emotion at Peter’s funeral, sadness but joy at a life well spent too. I’m so pleased you have family around to support you, sending hugs to you all,

  2. Hi Christine. Family are so important at this time. Sadly we couldn't have a funeral for my father when he died in April which has left us with a strange space that never seemed to be filled and I'm sure as sad as this is the funeral will help you and your family. Take care. Sending hugs, Angela x18x

  6. OOh no, being a paid employee puts the fun out of these sort of jobs...starting with having to get dressed and not being able to jump up and make a brew or some toast when you need it! There is a ton of stuff to sort and an amazing amount of paperwork connected with death isn’t there. I got to the stage of hilarity at the sort of organisation who wanted death certificate copies just so I could cancel a subscription or something else trivial. It was probably hysteria really, but argh. Will be holding you tight in my thoughts next week Christine.

  7. Hi Christine, oh my dear friend, how did I not know this? Our deepest condolences, we will be thinking of you next week, and sending you virtual hugs. I am so glad you can still be a part of something you both got so much pleasure from. I won't say have a lovely week, that would be insensitive, but sending you so much love. Shaz #4 XxXxXx
