So we are dependent on our machines again . . . . . dare I wish everyone a happy lockdown?!?!
The desk:
As you can see nowt much on there. Paperwork still waiting to be sorted, coffee waiting to be slurped . . . . . on that note, I have had minor surgery on my mouth so cannot eat properly yet . . . slurping and painkillers are the order of the day!! lol
I am still knitting, preemie cardies have changed to preemie hats to use up the leftover wool. I am collecting knitting patterns at the moment for small dolls which, hopefully, will use all the coloured lengths of wool I have left.
I have cleared most of the Christmas decs, just the tree to be taken down - which may still be up on the 6th! Never been so late . . . .
Thank you to all my visitors last week, my days are hit and miss so I did not manage to visit everyone but appreciate those who visited me.
Thank you Julia for enabling us to gather together again.
If you never looked a https://mariannaslazydaisydays.blogspot.com/ do! She has great patterns and lots of super cute but also very easy preemie ones! Not sure if I remember you mentioning her before but sorry if I am telling yo what you already know :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW 2021!

Oh gosh the surgery sounds difficult when it comes to eating and drinking - hope it gets better soon. I've taken the house decs down, yesterday in fact but the real tree in the conservatory will stay up till Candlemass on 2nd Feb. They always last well out there untouched and cold, shame to throw away so soon although it's been up there since the end of Nov Eeeeek!! Hugs and Happy New Year BJ#24
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment. I hope you are on the mend and that your DDC makes a rapid recovery - that's all you need just now! All the best. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteOuch Christine, poor you, although they do heal quite quickly, mouths are a horrid area to require surgery. Be a good gal and do exactly what they tell you to help the healing! I moaned about shoe-horning the tree in and putting up too many decks for just the two of us, but boy did they bring me some cheer. Felt like we were moving out when I’d put them all away again! Glad to see you can tolerate a hot drink though, that goes a long way to helping! Got some good light on your desk gal, when you fancy some cutting and sticking, you’ll have room and light! Take care.
ReplyDeleteHope your mouth heals soon, and isn't too painful. I took my decs down at the weekend, I can't bear to do it after work; not that there was much to do. Take care and stay safe. Helen #2
ReplyDeleteThe mouth thing doesn't sound good, hope it's better soon. We've just about taken everything down but I nearly always find something we've forgotten weeks later. Take care and have a happy woyww, Angela x19x
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal quickly! I'm with you on having just the tree to go ~ I'm thinking of putting up Valentine's ornaments again this year to keep the tree up longer ~ it's such a dark corner otherwise...I'll keep you posted! Blessings & healing wishes ~ Karen#32

ReplyDeleteMouth surgery cant be too pleasant so I wish you a speedy recovery. I'm glad you have a good hobby to occupy your time spent inside during another lockdown! Take good care of yourself in the meantime!

ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI learned to knit with patterns for Sindy. I was 9, and mum had to cast on and off, but it's how I learned to cable...

I hope you heal quickly/ Sorry I'm late. Wishing you a happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#10)
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, sorry for the late visit. Ouch to the mouth surgery - only had it once (biopsy on tongue and cheek) - I have declined the kind offer of repeat surgery! You have my sympathy while you recover! I know I'm never going to learn to knit, but I'm pretty impressed with learning to crochet - that will do me. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #14
ReplyDeleteSorry you've had to undergo surgery on your mouth, Christine - that's horrible. It was bad enough having a wisdom tooth out and then having to resist the temptation to keep exploring the hole with my tongue! At least things in the mouth do tend to heal fairly quickly, so I hope this is the case for you. Well done with the knitting. I am still busily crocheting kitty squares!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
