WOYWW #637

Looks like spiderman will have two arms to fight the dinosaur and Thomas, wearing a few rings, will be back up!!!

yes!

I have actually remembered to buy some glue and found time to attach back the bits and pieces that have broken off.  I may have to do some further repairs to the dinosaur as I am missing one of his spikes.  Just goes to show it doesn't matter how careful you are, there's always a spike to lose.

On a 'wel,l I never!' note:

Most mornings when I go out to feed the birds, I find a few holes or dips in the dirt by my potatoes.  I don't know what is digging there but I just sweep the dirt off the path and cover my potatoes back up.   I came into the kitchen one afternoon and caught the culprits . . . . can't really say red handed  . . . . mid dig . . .

A couple of sparrows were having a dust bath and there was quite a line waiting in the bushes!!!

Every time I see the hole and sweep the soil back over the spuds, I have a smile to myself . . . . .

Hope your smiling too.

  1. There is nothing in the world quite so joyous as sparrows having a bath, either in the dust or water! We often have up to 50 of them in our garden and the fight over the seeds/water is hilarious, it’s better watching than most telly these days! You never know what you’re going to see on the desks each week and you win today’s prize for the most random exhibit :-D

  2. The birds love to move the bark chippings that we have on the garden and every day they are on the path they must think I am a real pain as I sweep it back just about every day. Have a very happy and fruitful gluing session, Angela x14x

  3. At least you have solved one of life’s mysteries! I love to see the birds in my garden- I wish they would leave my primroses flowers alone though! Hoping Spider-Man and the dinosaur feel better soon. Happy WOYWW Angela #4

  5. I agree with LLJ - totally random!
I love putting food on my birdtable each day - though it's mainly pigeons who are waiting!
    Happy WOYWW!
    Stay safe and keep well!

  6. Oh I’m happy that the sparrows are enjoying your potato patch, and v happy that it’s nothing that was actually after the potatoes! They can make a right old mess too with dry dirt. Makes me happy to think of you smiling when you see the bath time evidence. As for gluing and mending, hurrah. Makes you wonder why you didn’t do it before doesn’t it. When you say ‘spike’ to lose….I see ‘stone’ (or two!), so he’s, I agree with your theory!!

  7. Sparrows! I expected something exotic LOL! But there you go. Poor dino. It amazes me you knew where the glue is - we never can seem to find it, buy another tube, lose that one, and the cycle repeats...endlessly. One day we will find them all and they will fill a bin bag!

    Happy WOYWW late again

  9. What fun, Christine - not sure we've had dinosaurs on here before... I love watching the birds too but we don't get so many here, apart from seagulls. The kitties are also somewhat of a deterrent!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
