WOYWW #638

Well, the desk is here:

As you can see there is no laptop . . . . . it's in a bag ready to go to work elsewhere but the 'elsewhere' never materialised as I had to cancel and take a day off . . . . .

Everything has now been pushed back so that I can join in all the fun over at Stamping Ground . . . . . come on over, Queen Julia wont mind, more the merrier she says!

Back to the desk . . . . yes, my box of paints did once contain cat food . . . . the problem is that they are the perfect size for stacking all the tubes and bottles . . . . I did start out covering the boxes with pretty paper and then thought . . .  how desperate am I?

Also on my desk is one of my die folders.  I have lots and they are roughly labelled as to their contents.  I also have lots of more blue A5 folders containing Embossing Folders.

I am trying to get a head start on September swaps, I have several cards finished and in the box beside the dies folder, but the ATCs and stamping on the desk is still a work in progress.

Anther busy day is forecast, I will get round to blogging about them soon but in the meantime . . . . . .

a visitor 'dropped' in . .

. . I think it was caught by a bird but not properly so landed in my garden . . .  it appeared very docile and kept hiding its head . . . .it managed to go into the undergrowth near to the bird food so I hope it has recovered and made a new safe home.

have a good week, hope the sun shines for you except where there are fires, hope it rains for you.

  2. Lol, I’m with you on the cat food box, it is what it is…good for storage though! Nice to see your die cut folders too, well organised. Hope you have a fun crafting day 😊

  3. It's always good to see people recycling stuff though I think I may need to be tough on myself and admit that all the stuff I've kept has not been used and must now go! I look at things and think I could use that for something but now there are too many. Have a lovely and creative woyww. Hugs Angela x9x

  4. So much of my storage is un-lovely old and repurposed stuff that works perfectly. If it works for me, I'm happy! Liking the ATCs so far, where do you trade?

Happy WOYWW, getting back to it

  5. I love recycling boxes etc too, Christine. I'm afraid I've never decorated any of them. One day, maybe, but I always think I'd rather use my time and materials on things I want to make, and the storage stuff is merely functional and it doesn't matter what it looks like! However, when I've seen people's craft rooms where they've decorated everything to look pretty, it does look good!

Lovely to see how you store your die cuts. I'm thinking of adding extra pouches for shapes cut with my cutting machine. I'm currently designing more 12 x 12 sheets on the computer, that I can print out, with lots of the same shape on one sheet, which can then be coloured as I want. Not much chance to do anything this week, though.

Thank you for your visit and for your continuing prayers. I am glad you found my info interesting this week. I think it's important for the information to go out, because a lot of this stuff seems shrouded in mystery and going in "cold" for an examination like that could be pretty scary for some people - That table would be enough to freak anybody out!! I find my wacky way of looking at things (comparing with Star Trek etc) and a healthy Sense of Tumour really helps! If people can take that on board, they might be less scared. Accurate information, freely and openly given, especially from people who have actually experienced it, is the best antidote for fear.

Also the tofu etc. If my oncologist hadn't recommended against it, I'd definitely be taking the phyto-oestrogens in supplement form as well, as they really worked for me before. I get our supplements from Healthspan, based in the Channel Islands - excellent quality stuff and free postage too. The menopause ones did take a while to take effect but it was worth the wait because I found them very effective. I wish your daughters well with their menopause! So far, on the oestrogen blocker which I've now been on for a fortnight, the symptoms are mild (no night sweats for several nights now, and only 2 or 3 mild hot flushes per day) so I think the increased intake of soya is doing the trick.

    Happy WOYWW and God bless,

  6. I must put my reading glasses on (still in my handbag from work) I read that as your pant box used to hold cat food..... I'll be re-stocking my fridge and freezer gradually (won't do an online order as I prefer to choose my produce and can't carry a huge amount - having no car is a pain sometimes..) Have a good week Helen #3

  7. What kind of cat food comes in a box that long? Not that I have a cat to feed these days, or even a hedgehog. It reminds me of the coffee box I got from my friend in America (no longer available) that I keep my dies in. Looks handy for you. I too started decorating the boxes but I gave up on the last one and it's still advertising coffee.
Have a good week Christine - hope the cancelled workshop was not because you were ill or anything.
    Hugs, Neet 8 xx

  9. You cannot beat having a box the perfect size... I sometimes cover them and sometimes don't. It depends on where it will sit and whether it will annoy me! Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#15)

  10. I like a busy desk and I giggled at the "I'm in the mooood for dancing" cows. They are a hoot!
Cool that the box was just the right size and I think it looks just fine.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!
